Losing faith in God

which would entail that the existence of things like children cancer is, in fact, God Herself. Right?

and is “as far as I am concerned” something of any logical value? or something compelling, in any way or form?

Creator of existence as well as destroyer
Thanks. Let me continue and ask whether you're referring to the Judeo-Christian beliefs about God?

As an example of where I'm coming from as an alternative is Spinoza's and Einstein's belief that God likely was Intigral with "Nature" [Spinoza's alternative name for God] and Einstein's belief that God may well be the Energy of creation itself.

Then there's the Buddhist concept that whether there was a creator-God or not is irrelevant. IOW, we live in the here & now, and who actually is so old that they remember when our universe emerged?

This is why I asked my question.

OK, thanks for answering, but let me just ask if you know that this concept is the only real viable one? What's wrong with only the others? And is that opinion absolutely essential and, if so, for what reason?

Mind you, no need to deal with the above if you don't want to as I'm not trying to be the "Inquisition". However, I do have some thumb-screws that I'd like to show ya personally. :)

I respect all religions. Essential? I believe existence goes through a destruction/creation event in a cyclic pattern.

All you need is love.
they might want to see a deceased loved one again and might think god can do something like that
Think about it. What does that look like? Being reunited with a deceased loved one? Where would abiogenesis, evolution , science, Big Bang, and an existence that has always been here and always will be fit in to that hope? It doesn’t. Just a thought

Based on my personal knowledge and experience, people don't need a god to reunite with a deceased loved one. I'm not sure what your religious beliefs are about the afterlife, but based on my years of experience with the paranormal, there are earthbound human spirits who can communicate and interact with their living loved ones, either through a psychic medium like myself or by visiting them on their own. People seeing the dead isn't uncommon, as I've explained in other threads (including this one), and believing in ghosts is more widely accepted than it used to be. I'm not sure if you're familiar with my posts on the paranormal, but if you're curious, you can read a couple of my previous posts about my personal experiences, which I've linked to below.

Thank you but I’m talking about an actual reuniting.
