Losing my ability to turn the other cheek

Bahahahaha!
We played off with the Lakers in 2010. Care to compare records since then? Care to compare Vegas odds for the upcoming season?
We were missing our two best players for the playoffs last year, refused to buckle, and made the Eastern Conference Finals. Meanwhile the Lakers still miss Kobe...

There will be plenty of room to trash talk meanwhile we have the best player on the planet and a very good young team.

Kyrie and I both think you'll have some trouble this year. We match up pretty well with you guys, and have given you plenty of trouble in the regular season of late (beaten you 3 of the last 5 times). Durant is a problem for us, though, I'll grant you that.

KD is a match up issue for everyone.

You need perimeter defenders like how the rockets built themselves last year. However, now we have two low post players being Durant and Cousins to combat the perimeter defense. You can't stop them one on one down low. And both are very good passers in a slow tempo game.

I don't know man. It's not fair that we have 5 all stars at each position.

Roughly speaking, He who fights with monsters should be careful lest he thereby become a monster. And if thou gaze long into an abyss, the abyss will also gaze into thee.
I like it. It marries up with reality much better than turning the other cheek, I think.
That's the one! I see it happen too often, in both big and small ways.

You can rely on the past, I'll stay in the glorious present. =P

Um no, it was this century less than ten years ago against BOSTON did Lakers win their last championship. Golden State had to stack their team just to win championships now their fans are all of a sudden coming out. where were Golden State fans when they had Chris Mullin, Tim Hardaway, Wilt Chamberlin, Antawn Jamison, Chris Webber, and which they were never contenders? I keep finding that most GS Warrior fans are bandwagon fans. I see so many bandwagon fans in L.A. its sick even among some so-called Laker fans. I live in both past and present and now that we have the best player in the world (trust me Lebron's allegiance is always questionable to me) now we are hated. Trust, the Laker organization knows we wont get a championship out the gate but before Lebron retires we either will be contenders or will win another one and most likely tie the Celtics.

Here's the catch 22. We've always been fans but what can we be boastful of if the team isn't winning. If I was as boastful as I was now during the Run TMC years, I would get laughed at by Bulls and Jazz fans.

I live in the south bay, so my team has always been the Warriors. Maybe, you're pointing to fans living elsewhere who are bandwagoners but not here... Been a fan since very young.

Now I have something to be proud about!!!

Hey, don't hate because of our management being able to "stack" the team. If its so easy to do, then other teams should be able to do it too. What our GM has done is picked a core team through the draft by selecting Curry, Thompson and Green. What both the GM and coach has done is to build a team friendly environment that promotes team first before individuals. They promoted a culture that attracts talent like Durant, Iggy and now, Cousins. There's also a lot luck involved here but it boils down to great management and leadership.

Perimeter defenders? Rozier, Brown and Marcus Smart are a decent start, while Banes and Horford hold up plenty well inside.

I'll hold judgement in DeMarcus until I see a functioning Achilles.

I'm looking at our future. We run ten deep, have a great coach, a great GM, a future Clippers draft pick, a future Grizzlies draft pick and next year's Sacramento pick, plus all our our own picks. No team in the league as deep and we'll coached. Just have to see how that works against an all star starting five!!

If you were following during Run TMC, then I'm happy for you. Great when a team you've bled with over the years finally gets success.

I don't watch the Celtics play much so I'm not fully sure. Rozier and Brown, maybe. Not sure about Smart. Definitely you'll have liabilities with Irving and Hayward on the court.

It's not about winning just one game. It's about 4 out of 7 series, so Celtics better make it to the finals. You should thank your maker that Lebrons moved on to the Lakers.

Smart is by far the best of the three defensively (and the weakest offensively).
For your viewing pleasure...(it's actually worth watching...the guy is a kamikaze). These are from the first 4 months of last season...ONLY. He can guard 1 through 4 on the court.

Kyrie, for sure. Hayward I'd say is an average defender, although that relies on him coming back from injury, so there is doubt there. Tatum is the other one to watch. He was good defensively for a rookie last year, but he was a rookie...he'll need to take another step, and be able to credibly guard someone good against you guys.

Nah...We had them last year, and were missing our two best players. Our young guys just didn't quite close it. I think we would have had them this year for sure. The Eastern team that is sneaky scary is Toronto (although only if Kawhi is fully on board and healthy). They can send out some tough defensive units, and have good depth.
You guys are still the team to beat by (unlike some) I don't think you're at all unbeatable.
