Perhaps if someone got emotional about Jesus dying on the cross. Since Jesus was evidence of God's love becoming emotional over it could indicate to that person that God is real, or that they believe God is real.
I would get emotional about anyone dying in a horrific way.
That's part of it, believing Jesus had come in the flesh. Some people actually say Jesus was a myth, never did die on the cross really. So if you get emotional about it you must believe Jesus did die on the cross.
Since it is an individual experience it would be up to the individual to decide if it was God's love they experienced or not. I am not sure how any outsider could address that issue, since they would have no access to the experience, and it not something that can be measured scientifically.
To that individual, perhaps. On a purely personal, subjective level, anything could be considered "evidence" of God. If someone believes that there is a God, but that this God is a hateful, malicious being, you could equally argue that that person's individual experience of hate could be evidence to them of that God's existence. If a person feels God's love is that evidence to that individual that God is real?
I was meaning if I knew that Yeshua died on the cross I would be somewhat upset.
Here is the thing, I get upset when Xion dies and is forgotten in Kingdom Hearts.
Does that make Xion real?
It makes you potentially dishonest. You said you get upset when someone dies horribly, but so far I only see you get upset when a fictional character dies.
Please quote my post so I get an alert.
It just seems to me to be no different from Gaia's love, Khrisna's love, or Allah's love.
"Please quote my post so I get an alert."
You assumed my post was a direct reply to you?
Seems to me the answer could be either yes or no depending on how that individual wishes to view their experience.
That said, I have a hard time wrapping my head around this "God's love" idea as a Pagan. I understand things like Eros - gods which are essentially mythopoetic personifications of an aspect of reality (in this case love) - but the whole "God's love" thing I'm not sure I really get.

The wording seemed to indicate it.
I apologize if this is not the case.
It was a general reply to the thread since a few people raised similar questions. Which is why I started the post with, "Since it is an individual experience it would be up to the individual to decide if it was God's love they experienced or not." This is subjective, it is not one of those things where you can argue away wth objective standards, so the determination of if it is or is not God's love will also be subjective.
