Luck or Chance?

Sure but why would one person defy the odds more often than odds are able to predict?
Example?

No luck. No chance. Causality and determinism. Even entropy can be measured.
The current understanding of physics, as far as I am aware, includes probability built into the universe itself. The smallest particles show probabilistic effects rather than follow some Newtonian model.

From my understanding, and I could be wrong about this, probability doesn't necessarily imply chance. That even in the apparent randomness, there is some order.

I'm not sure in what way you are using the word chance here.

The universe at the most fundamental known levels, as currently understood by scientists, inherently contains probability. Things are currently understood to be governed by probability at the lowest known levels. Things do follow rather strict order, but that order seems to be governed by probability.

Ok, I see what you're saying. You're saying probability as opposed to determinism. My mind wanders when I'm sick and haven't had enough sleep. :p I'm of the opinion that the random events of probability are only seen as random because we may not yet understand their deterministic course. This is, however, just my opinion.

Its predictability to us is based on probability, but that doesn't mean it isn't deterministic.

Either way, you are still going to encounter 'luck' or 'chance'. These aren't really being used in the context of an encompassing mathematical formula...
