Lust Isn't A Sin It's A Punishment?

In dharmic religions there is this idea that sexual energy can be purified into a more refined energy aka kundalini. Also in lots of religions there is this idea that sexual abstinence leads to greater spiritual power.

There is something wrong and weakening with sexuality.I think at the least it is contradictory with narcissism.I am a virgin and quiet narcissistic but still i have weakness with opposite sex.I am conquering this weakness more and more.I realised that i am getting stronger and stronger.By and by i need sexuality and connection with opposite sex less.

I don't see myself as pure or superior to others but i am just trying to get stronger and beat my weaknesses.I don't know much about kundalini but i just convert sexual energy to self love.So i am pretty much in dark about how to convert sexual energy to get stronger.

So how can we purify sexual energy to get stronger?

I think the OP makes a bit too personal assumptions for other people to be generally expected to share them.

Sexual energy is pure, it is the dark seedy thoughts that are not..... So cruel bdsm, rape, exploitation, needing to see a prostitute as you want to pay for sex, all these lower the vibration.

Lust when equally received, isn't a problem either, it is when it is without reflection, thus you lower your own energy, by desiring something you can't have.

Yet to turn on Kundalini, you don't even need a sexual partner, you just need to attune with your own core....

So find what allures you, then recognize it is your other half of your own soul, and then be turned on as such, by that wholeness in both Ying and Yang energy.

It is sort of what Lao Tzu said mixed with Kundalini, 'know the masculine, keep to the feminine, and be the brook of the world'....

Which in a male, this switches on the Kundalini, and your sexual energies will keep growing; you might find the opposite sex will pounce on you tho, as you're a magnet for reproduction. ;)

Lust is one of the 5 evils in the Sikh faith, (along with pride, anger, attachment, and greed), because it can cause us to forget very important things. In many Dharmic faiths sins don't exist, (Sikhs are a unique exception), for example adultery in many of those faiths is ok as long as the intent was good? Lust by itself sometimes causes suffering.

I don't know what Kundalini is, but if there is truth in it science will explain it (it is just a matter of time).

Also in lots of religions there is this idea that sexual abstinence leads to greater spiritual power.
Some religions see sex as something very sinful, in some others, there are "holy" sex workers - who lives in the temple. People only need to pay an exorbitant price tag for their service which also includes predicting ones future. There were/religions out there that even allows one to have sex with animals!

Every religion has some ploy to get it deep rooted into the minds of the people. Sex and other rituals is a good topic for that. Once implanted wrongly into their subconscious mind, every time they commit this apparent 'sin', they have to go deeper into their religion to get solace.

There are people who are asexual - either because of physical/ genetic deformity, or due to their way of thinking. I don't think so they will have greater spiritual power.

Partly, it is about proper sex education. There are people who have weird sexual fantasies - from homosexuals to animal sex to object sexuality. In the case of heterosexuality, this weirdness usually goes unnoticed, projecting itself only at the two extreme levels -either not interested in hetero-sex or extremely heterosexual.
Separate sex and spirituality - they have nothing in common.

So do you think this Ritual concerned with "vital force" makes any sense? Similarly, phrases like "purify sexual energy to get stronger" etc are all just ploy of your religion.

If with "stronger" or "beat ones weakness" you mean is to reduce the "intensity of attraction towards the opposite sex ", I can only say that "its only normal" or "its all about proper sexual education".

I like science but it's just too slow and blunt.

Ritual concerned with "vital force" makes alot sense to me.In psychology such an act is about identification by way of consuming. When they consume a part of someone they consume that person's part of unique energy can be a spiritual explanation. That is the core of oral sex.

My religion doesn't ban anything to me.I son't exactly have a religion. So i don't see sex as a sin so i don't feel strong when i avoid it.I see sex as a punishment because it is weakening.Like i said i am narcissistic and i believe connecting with , loving someone causes weakness and is a sign of weakness because it just lessens my self love and lessens my importance.

Lust may also just be sexual addiction, which is unrelated to sex other than the topic of the addiction. People we have assumed may be "evil" may actually be suffering from a brain tumor or some other biological event that makes them absurdly horny. I'm a virgin, have ... imagination ..., but I don't want actual sex. Ever. (Long story) Still, despite my inner disgust for the sexual, I accept that it's MY issue and that sex is a natural function. I figure as long as the rights of other living beings aren't being violated, who cares?

If it's consensual and desired, how is bdsm "cruel" and "lower?"
'Cruel BDSM', meaning that it isn't just about being kinky; yet causing physical pain, to hurt something, as you're messed up, is why would say it is dark. :)

Sexuality is just a fact of life, and one that is relatively easy to deal with if you don't get hung up vilifying it. The rules for dealing with it are simple: Compassion, kindness, and consideration for others; consensual agreements; leaving your partner as well off or better than you found them; the lavish use of whipped cream, etc.

I imagine if we become a slave to lust, that is where it could feel like a punishment. Lust has a few definitions, but even though I've come back to Christianity, I happen to think that religion has created this notion that sexual pleasure is somehow wrong...and that sex's main (only?) purpose is to produce offspring. Desiring sex is a biological function. Becoming enslaved to our desires, whether sexual, avarice, etc...is what does a person grave damage.

I'm into sadomasochism. I like forms of pain and I enjoy inflicting forms of pain on others. There's nothing wrong with that and it doesn't mean you're messed up. It's just another form of sensation.
