Like you I read and hear the news. But I have my own thoughts about it and do my own research. I don't just accept what they say.
Once again you come at me with this vapid boilerplate nonsense, instead of honestly engaging with my arguments and actually making a point.

Instead of transparently trying to assert your intellectual superiority, you could, for instance, take a look at these questions and attempt to answer them honestly:

What do you do for research?
On what do you base your rejection of news as a source of facts?
Where are your sources, and why are they more reliable than the news?
What is your research methodology, and why is it superior to the ones people learn in journalism school?

As is, I can see nothing of substance in your post to engage with.

Of course you could not respond to a single one of my questions.

"I do my own research", my foot!

I responded to several of your questions. I just didn't give you the answer "you wanted" so you whined and complained.
I'm not here to hold you hand or guide you. You should be grown up enough to do that on your own. If not, I cant help you.

You are technically correct, you posted an unrelated post that answered none of my questions and insulted me.
That is a form of response. Bravo!

You get a cookie for this dazzling demonstration of your research abilities!

Keep your cookie. Eat it yourself so you will feel better and for gods sake stop whining.

Just a reminder to these guys:
If you want to make the revolution, make sure law enforcement and army are on your side, first.

If not, avoid.;)
America had the amry, police, and crown against it. England lost that one.

I've been trying to be a little less riveted to political developments, but this story struck me hence this thread. It's to me very smart legal strategy. If they won't testify under oath, he can argue for a not-guilty result as well as using this as grounds for appeal. Anyone care to bet on what happens as a result?

MAGA rioter wants to subpoena Trump, Giuliani and Bannon -- and asks for US Marshals' help if needed

An accused MAGA rioter has created a list of all-star witnesses he wants to testify at his trial, including former President Donald Trump, attorney Rudy Giuliani, and podcaster Steve Bannon.

Via Politico's Kyle Cheney, an attorney representing January 6th defendant Dustin Thompson revealed on Friday that his client "intends to subpoena numerous witnesses involved in the planning and execution of the attempt to disrupt the certification of the 2020 presidential election."

Included among those were the aforementioned Trump, Giuliani, and Bannon, as well as attorneys including John Eastman, Sidney Powell, and Lin Wood.
...
"Considering the significant roles these witnesses play in the legal and political communities, and the evasiveness that some have historically shown in the face of court orders, Defendant submits that appointment of the U.S. Marshals Service is necessary in order to effectuate his right to compulsory process and ensure that the same is accomplished expeditiously," the filing states.
The court will recognize a strategy that is unreasonable.
BTW, "rioter" should really be "insurrectionist".
I loathe mislabeling that dilutes & distracts from the heinous
crimes that he & his ilk committed.

Crimes should be punished but insurrection is a much more serious crime.
I’m not sure how anyone could look at the riot at the Capitol building as an insurrection. How was that group of people planning on taking over the government? Really? How? The group as a whole probably didn’t even know each other or never even met each other for the most part. From what I can tell people gathered that day and planned on returning home after the event not taking over the government.

What do you think it was, a picnic?

Aren't you even aware that we now know that what I watched for hours on the 6th was not spontaneous? Aren't you even vaguely familiar with what was going on at the Willard Hotel on the 5th? Aren't you aware of what some of Trump's aides have already testified?

What happened on the 6th was only part of Trump's plan, and we saw that panning out after the 6th when there was repeated attempts by him and some of his staff to negate the results of the election. Thank God Pence had the guts and morals to refuse to cater to Trump's demands on this, and thank God the Republican SoS in Geogia refused to "find votes" enough to put Trump over the top as Trump kept insisting. Ever listen to that recording the SoS made?

Indeed.
But in the French Revolution the people was backed by the army.
In the French Revolution, the revolutionaries actually made their own army:

America had the amry, police, and crown against it. England lost that one.
To be fair, America had its own armies (and police forces didn't really exist yet in the New World), which is actually how a lot of revolutions come into being: As a challenge to the former government's monopoly of violence.

Yeah, attempting to overthrow a free and fair and very secure election in order to kill dissenters and install their own choice is indeed not a riot. That's what happened in LA about 30 years ago. What happened a year ago was an insurrection.

This episode of the sixth of January was nothing serious. So improvised.

I make an example. If the Italian army joins the people to fight some dragon-like élites, these last have some chance of salvation?;)

This episode of the sixth of January was nothing serious.
So, what I watched for several hours on t.v. that day wasn't serious? 150 police injured with two dead isn't serious? Congresspeople and the VP running for their lives inside the Capitol wasn't serious?
