MAGA: the Party of Mass Deportation

It may "stumble along ineffectively" as it did with the the covid crisis and family during Trumps last term, or it will move forward with greater effectiveness thanks to a more solidly and less encumbered Christian white nationalist administration....
While there are white nationalist Magas, it's apparent
that this doesn't typify Trump's cult. As evidence, I
offer Trump's massive increase in support from blacks.
This gain is rapid too.
Compare the above article with this one from March.

"Christian Nationalist" is accurate though.
Add to this his intent to have SCOTUS grant
total immunity to corrupt violent cops.
That's worse than racism.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
See the New York Times

So, too, the horror that will scar millions of families for generations. It's a dystopia in which a neofascist cults seduces its base with the promise of gut-wrenching family separation replete with cattle cars, detention camps, and unfathomable cost -- and the base cheers.
I think of it in two ways.

First it is definitely worth the cost of promptly deporting illegals en masse out of the country soonest.

On the other hand, I would think it would be equally worth the cost to deport them as far as the proper border checkpoint and give them the fair option of going through proper channels willfully or forcefully go back to wherever it is that you came from.

The latter being a compromise.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.

I know several MAGA people. One I think of immediately is a college graduate, lived in DC for many years. He is married to a biracial woman. They recently had a baby who is very, very dark-skinned. Anyway, he is also not a Christian Nationalist at all. I also know another college graduate who is not a Christian Nationalist at all but he is a MAGA. I just thought of him, actually.

I also know several people, who all happen to be alcoholics by the way though they don't know each other, who are liberals who are mortified by Trump.

Of course “Christian Nationalist” doesn’t define them all. But I’ll wager that none are Democrats.

Nope. But you implied that Christian Nationalists defines a MAGA, and I was saying otherwise. Because you know, it's true. And I think people are more than welcome to stereotype but I don't think it does much good.

You inferred.
That implication wasn't my intention.

All Republicans support their party, which leans
towards Christian Nationalism, reducing civil liberties,
And genocide of Palestinians....even if the individually
oppose some of those policies.
Democrats have horrible policies too. Which is why
I'll vote for Chase Oliver. He isn't evil.

You said this, and I quote and stringently disagree, as I made clear. But anyway, God knows who I am going to write in but it won't be Biden or Trump, that's for sure.

I understand. Your view is reasonable.
It could also be that a Republican would
believe Trump won't implement such a
terrible policy, & might therefore ignore
this in their calculation whom to vote for.

Please excuse my being boring.
No sparks flew.

On May 1, 1517 — now referred to as Evil May Day — riots broke out in London as a response to an influx of immigrant workers. Eighty years later, a play was written that includes some of these events. The play, called Sir Thomas More, wasn't published or performed at the time, quite possibly because it was censored. This speech from the play is delivered to the rampaging crowd by Thomas More, who was sheriff of London at the time. Thomas More asks the rioters to imagine themselves in the shoes of the immigrants they're attacking. This is the original text, written by William Shakespeare.

Sir Thomas More:

Grant them removed, and grant that this your noise
Hath chid down all the majesty of England;
Imagine that you see the wretched strangers,
Their babies at their backs and their poor luggage,
Plodding to the ports and coasts for transportation,
And that you sit as kings in your desires,
Authority quite silent by your brawl,
And you in ruff of your opinions clothed;
What had you got? I’ll tell you: you had taught
How insolence and strong hand should prevail,
How order should be quelled; and by this pattern
Not one of you should live an agèd man,
For other ruffians, as their fancies wrought,
With self same hand, self reasons, and self right,
Would shark on you, and men like ravenous fishes
Would feed on one another.
[...]
Say now the king,
As he is clement if th’offender mourn,
Should so much come too short of your great trespass
As but to banish you, whither would you go?
What country, by the nature of your error,
Should give you harbor? Go you to France or Flanders,
To any German province, to Spain or Portugal,
Nay, anywhere that not adheres to England,
Why, you must needs be strangers: would you be pleased
To find a nation of such barbarous temper,
That, breaking out in hideous violence,
Would not afford you an abode on earth,
Whet their detested knives against your throats,
Spurn you like dogs, and like as if that God
Owed not nor made not you, nor that the elements
Were not all appropriate to your comforts,
But chartered unto them, what would you think
To be thus used? This is the strangers’ case;
And this your mountainish inhumanity.

I post this only to ask: why are so many “Christian” Americans so anxious to be so inhumane to so many people?

Well, anything can happen, I guess.

Not of this world
And either way, people are going to get hurt.
People are getting hurt when illegals kill American citizens.
How many more times do we need to hear about a 12 year old girl who was raped, murdered and then dumped like a piece of trash by an illegal from Venezuela?

Not of this world
MAGA folks who were, only a few years ago, saying that Biden was going to round them up and put them in concentration camps are now OK with doing that to others. Many call themselves Christian. Wonder when they ditched the Jesus' Golden Rule in favor of the Mango Mussolini?
Don't forget who built the original "cages" to put kids into. It was Babcock Obama.
