I've long argued that climate change is nothing new.
Currently, it's less severe than many past climates.
But that's not relevant to the controversy of AGW.
In the Anthropocene Age, humans are actually causing
change that will cause troubling upheaval. I can't say
that our current climate is the best ever. But there
are problems worth taking measures to avoid.....
- Reduced land area.
- Costal cities going below sea level.
- Islands disappearing.
- Stronger storms.
- Population re-location due to areas becoming less
livable or more livable.
- Tropical diseases moving north.
- Extinctions

It's arguable that the costs & sacrifices of
mitigating AGW are better than the results
of AGW.
So I'm selling Mr Van (8 mpg), & bought a
hybrid car (up to 40 mpg) that can tow a

Good job of selective reading, Along with the 800k warm cold cycle is another graph with CO2 levels which very nicely parallels the cold dips with CO2 levels around 170 ppm and the warm peaks around 300 ppm. Current CO2 is at 422 ppm.
Yes climate is always changing but right now we are changing it at a rate and causing levels of CO2 not seen in the last 800k years. CO2 as a greenhouse gas is not in question and its mechanism has been know for ~ 150 years,

As for sea level, yup it is at levels that civilization has grown up with and not low enough to open the Arctic to walking across. But the volume of ice can be converted to water and that is the point.

And now we have CH4 release at historically high levels which will only make things worse.
