Making Mirth With Rape, Murder, Slavery, Etc....When Is It OK? Or Wrong?

In Candide, the horrible acts themselves aren't seen in the show. They're more of climates which the characters experience on their journeys.

I've seen Candide the Musical, and, like the book, it's full of terrible things. But it's far from offensive I would think.

You'd like the novella. Of course... it reads normal at the time, but for its date of publication, it's sort of insane how modern, I guess, Voltaire was. Definitely a read for the Enlightenment period.
