is there really any purpose for circumcision these days anyway?
Religious obligation. That's about it, AFAICT.
Blind?That, and blind tradition.
I'm curious why the counterposition is "wrong" and "not an issue."This poll was made in responce to this thread. It's anonymous.
Blind?
You're pretty dismissive of Jews and Muslims, many of whom - although you might find this difficult to accept - are every bit as thoughtful, intelligent, and aware as you presume to be.
As were yours.Your insinuations are noted. .
As were yours.
Would you say the same if the only respondents who have said they do have a problem with circumcision are uncircumcised?So... I know that 6 votes probably isn't enough for a decent confidence interval, but I do think it's interesting that so far, the only respondents who have said that they don't have an issue with circumcision are circumcised themselves.
It played no role in my decisions nor in any of the decisions of which I am personally aware.Again, you have not addressed the issue of whether blind tradition plays a role in why people have their children circumcised. I find your avoidance highly telling.

Blind tradition? That strikes me as very sad.
