Even Radium?

Well, being as how "radium" is a synthetic element but non the less on the periodic table, maybe I should've been more specific and stated the "non synthetic" elements

What I find funny and ironic is the pompousness of the scientific community while being so based in "theory" that even SNL can crack jokes about it and the ignorance of people who blindly follow this theory immersed faith while claiming that those who don't are following something that is based not in facts which is indeed different from "theory" for us english speaking folk.

It comes across as a "my dad is bigger than ur dad and my friends agree" argument. Was it really necessary?

Sincerely,

I confess, if there is a coherent argument there it escapes me.

There was just as much of a "coherent" argument there as your prejudicial "coherent argument" of
I regard it as more ignorance. Irony suggest a knowledge they do not have and do not WISH to have.

Hows about this, just take the statement "so heavenly minded that they are no earthly good", switch it around and apply it to yourself.

Thief here...I still see it...after all of these years!

So many people still lean on the Creation Narrative as factual.
Even that portion in Genesis Chapter Two, in which Man is raised up from the dust.

Somehow...I seem to be the only person...that holds true...
Man is made of dust...yeah.
But Adam was not the first man.
He was the first Son of God.

What this tells me is that the dust mites preceded man.

Thief here...Hey Zardoz...
I haven't read your reference yet... but I can see we may have the same line of thought...

I'm afraid you really will need to read that reference. Then you will see that I have no problem at all and see no dilemma with Evolution of Man Vs. G-d creating Adam out of dust. Because both are true.

Radium is not synthetic... if it were we wouldn't have to worry about it decaying into radon and leaking out of our granite here in NH. ;)
It is the natural product of Uranium decay.

Thief here...Hey Zardoz....
I did read your reference.
Some of the details and terms are unfamiliar...however...
I sense that we are much more similar, than not.

When I write such essay I try to be brief, and deliberate to refrain nouns and names that the next guy might not know.
I use such technique to lessen the digression.

All too often, names and reference are used as if to refute a discussion, all the while the content was the important part.

As in this thread...there is discussion going back and forth that has no, or little, direction toward ...man made of dust.

I really don't see what sort of discussion you expect to get. If you believe that man was made from dust, then that is what you believe, based upon faith. Nothing's really gonna shake that. We can talk all day about how evolution appears to be the method of "creating" the diversity of life on Earth, but at the end of the day, no one can say with 100% certainty that an all powerful God didn't make us out of pancake batter last Thursday.

Hi Thief,
The interesting thing to remember that I think we sometimes forget is that each part of the Trinity (God the Father, Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit was there before Adam and creation. When God said, "Let us make man in our own image."
How much faith do you have? Have you ever felt the presense of GOD? I mean felt the anointing? It is hard to describe but very real, God is good that is sure! God is LOOKING for someone like you! Someone to believe that He is whom that HE says that He is. God is a rewarder to all who diligently seek HIM!

Thief here...Hey Falvlun...
That we are dust...here and now...is almost self evident.

The discussion intended was more toward the Creation Narrative....
Do you think God ...gathered a handful of dust and breathed on it?
Or do you lean more toward evolution?

I say, evolution took place during Day Six.
Day Seven...God rests.
During His Day Off....He sees some need to alter what He has made.
Chapter Two is a brief story of manipulation.
If taken literally....a 'hands on' technique is being applied.
The combination of evolution....and the Chapter Two event...make us what we are now.
This presents a possible cause for the lack of fossil record connecting Man with the rest of the animal life.
Evolution is how God made the species of Man.
Chapter Two indicates some 'interference'.

Yes, of course I have faith.
But it is rare that someone would ask of me a personal 'encounter' with God.
I will digress for this one answer.
As far back as my recall can go...
I was sitting on the floor, looking out my window, late at night.
Through the eyes of a little boy...I viewed my immediate scenery.
I said..."If God created all of this...He must truly be wonderful."
A chill came over me, in spite of the warm summer breeze.

I have never been alone since then.
