man steals Pagan sign, has Jesus bumper sticker

From the What Would Jesus Steal files, a man was arrested following a car chase in Santa Cruz, and it all began when he stole a sign from a local Pagan shop. Reports say that Kelly Piper screeched to a stop in front of The Sacred Grove in his Isuzu Trooper, jumped out and grabbed the sign, which features a pentagram, and then sped away. An employee managed to get the license plate number, and noted the distinctive bumper stickers reading "Jesus Saves" and "confess and forgive". Police spotted Piper a short time later, driving twenty miles over the speed limit and blowing through stop lights, and then eventually stopped him after he avoided a spike strip.

Fortunately, no one was injured by this idiot, and the sign was returned undamaged to shop owner Michael Correll.

Piper's bumper stickers tell us pretty much everything we need to know about his motivations -- he's probably the same guy who steals Pagan books from the library because he doesn't want you to read them.

Golly, if only there were some kind of guideline in the Bible that had told Kelly Piper stealing was wrong, perhaps this could have been avoided.

There is, isn't there? It's...oh, hang on....Thou shalt not.....Thou shalt not...
Nope. It's gone.

Maybe the bumper sticker was put on by a previous owner of the vehicle and this guy was a pagan desperate for a sign.

I actually had a friend who had a Jesus fish stolen off his car by an atheist, or someone assumed to be an atheist. We think that because the guys car was stickered up atheist slogans.

Right out there in public where someone might steal them?

A local church here made a bunch of yard signs (like for political campaigns) with the 10 Commandments on them. They gave them to church members to put in their yards.

Within a week 90% of them had been stolen.

I blame those gosh darn God-hating atheists.

So did the church members.

At least until the signs started to turn up in yards that belonged to other Christians.

Ohhh, I know! The other Christians stole them from the atheists. They were saving the signs......

That's got to be it!

There's a moral in there somewhere.
