Seen! BIG UPS! I overstand your view.

Do you also support the use of ganja spiritually?

Jah Bless.

P.S. Best of luck with your pains. I suggest the use of marijuana in relieving those pains. Natural uses of herb and not pills are the best way. :) In I opinion.
I-ney JAHLion,

"Do you also support the use of ganja spiritually?"- nah

Being paranoid is an unfortunate side-effect. When I got high at work the other day, the only problem is I was extremly worried that someone at subway might have saw us and called the cops. I was ok after I left work.
Being paranoid can also make some one a safer driver. Going only 45 seems like your doing about 75, so you tend to slow down abit.

This does not make you a safe driver, LukeWolf. Creeping along at half the speed limit makes you a traffic hazard! And pot also makes you over focused. While your attention is riveted on one aspect of driving you're ignoring others.

Slowing down about 5 or 10 MPH at night time while on country roads actually does make you safer. Gotta mind all the deer, racoons, and other animals. Plus with all the corn getting up to 4 feet+, you never know what will jump out of the intersection and when.
And no, pot doesn't make you over focused. Trying to get to work when your running ten minutes behind does.

LOL! OK LukeWolf, I concede. I was thinking more of an urban setting, anyway.

Anything to save the deer and raccoons!

Being paranoid is a side effect of guilt, not marijuana. A thief will be paranoid after they pull a job. An adulterer will be paranoid after cheating on their spouse. The paranoia of pot smokers comes from the fact that someone has tried to convince us that we are doing something wrong.

To bump up such a good thread. I will reply a response to a thread that has been dormant for about 2 and a half years. (It really is nice to go back on old threads and see what you was like that long ago.)

I do agree to an extent. Having added a couple more years experience, I have found the paranoia to come from the thought of being caught, allthough marijuana does tend to add to potential paranoia feelings. My girlfriend especially gets rather paranoid in even 0 chance of getting caught situations. I think it has more to do with the altered state of mind if anything. But like anything else, individual results may vary.

What happens if you get caught with a small bit of pot where you are, is paranoia justified?

Really, it all depends. There are far too many variables to even predict it. The few cops and sheriffs I know will likely turn a blind eye, while those I don't will more than likely slap a pair of cuffs on, and from there it is up to a judge to decide from everything to how I reacted, previous records, current state in life, to many other variables, while cops in a city just about 30 miles away will just dump the stash onto the road.

But, when I think a "small" bit, I'm thinking barely enough for one person, which for me might be a weekend visit to the jail, maybe a month or two, but not too much.
The story I will forever stick to though, if the black chick (I can't remember her name right now cause I'm too drunk) risk jail time over a damned bus seat, I can risk jail time over something just as natural as and harmless as grass.

Violet.
You know?

I think that's true.
Most hallucinogenic paranoia comes from the inability to relax..
and go with the flow of the ride.

When the world fills your head with all kinds of drug "fears",
including not the least of, arrest,
is it any small wonder that users become "paranoid"
in their heightened state?

Oh man... I used to be the most relaxed ...
go with the flowiest of em all.
Great trip memories.:rainbow1:

Sounds like a pretty strong reaction from the law. Have to say I see nothing wrong with pot and think it should be legalised, all prohibition does is make gangsters rich. Hope you don't get caught though.

Cool! A Rastafarian! I believe that Marijuana or Ganja as we call it here has medicinal properties but when overused it is detrimental.

Hi!

Alcohol and tobacco are far worse than Marijuana and both legal in the United States despite the number of deaths and etc. associated with them. While I neither condemn nor condone it, marijuana should be legal and the choice to use and in what manner, up to each individual.

Cheers!

There have been 0 documented deaths from a marijuana overdose. While it is indeed possible to overdose in it, a fatal dose is approximately 4 times your own body weight. This means even if you weight 100 pounds, you would have to smoke 400 pounds in one setting to have a fatal overdose. I am sure by the end of the first pound, most people would be way too stoned to remember how to load another bowl, or even remember that they were going to load another a few seconds after they got the thought. Not too mention it would cost, at the reduced prices I can get, $960,000 USD to purchase the 400 pounds for the 100 pound person to kill themselves. Not too mention most people would pass out long before an overdose can be achieved.

Jesus said it wasn't what we put into our bodies that makes us unclean (or evil) but what comes out of it (such as saying evil things).;)
That said, if you are using grass just to get high, then I would not want to do it. I like to keep my mind clear of mind altering drugs.
If you are taking for medical reasons, then that would be OK, in my opinion.

This question is somewhat related to the thread at hand. But do you (or anyone else who wants to answer) think it is evil to take drugs that alter your state of mind for religious and/or meditative purposes?

I would not want to judge how other people worship or have visions. I personally think that if a drug does it, then it is the drug and not a true vision, but that is just my opinion.
