Marjorie Taylor Greene defends suspected Pentagon leaker, saying he is 'white, male, Christian, and anti-war'

Because, somewhat surprisingly, 1 million or so people have access to classified information.

My dad had a job which gave him Q clearance, although he said in practice, information was disseminated on a "need to know" basis. Information would be compartmentalized in such a way that the right hand wouldn't know what the left hand was doing. So one might wonder what possible need there was for anyone on an Air National Guard base to have information on Ukrainian troop movements or troops strength. Why did anyone on that base have a need to know, and why was that information there in the first place?

Popular opinion is for idiots that can't think for themselves.
So a consensus on anything is idiotic? So the best route is always contrarianism, logic and evidence be damned? Sounds like a recipe for anti-intellectualism and scientific illiteracy.

Regardless, my point still stands; @Estro Felino and her fringe beliefs don't represent Europe.

But what does the US have to do with Ukraine and why is it supplying munitions to support a war over a border dispute in eastern Europe, and why should we support such barbarity and all its dirty secrets?
What did the U.S. have to do with the border dispute between Germany and the rest of Europe during 1939-1945? Why did we support such barbarity?

She is wrong. The leaked information is detrimental to the US, the war effort in Ukraine, China relations etc. This person needs to go to jail.

Although I believe he was the person that leaked the info, I am not 100% convinced he acted alone, but we will see if more comes out about how this was leaked and why he had access to the information.
There aren't enough "leaks," the public has a right to know what's going on within these morally bankrupt governments that are totally infiltrated by corporate war hawks that have no regard for anyone of any country, nor for the environment.

During World Border Dispute 2, Germany was unfortunate enough to suffer a series of border disputes at the same time, especially those due to French, Polish and Soviet provocation.

Warmongering Americans shamefully involved themselves in these border disputes by supplying military aid to multiple parties, thus prolonging the war and leading to death, despite the fact they had no right to involve themselves in such petty European border disputes in the first place.

I can't stand this person.

"Marjorie Taylor Greene defends suspected Pentagon leaker, saying he is 'white, male, Christian, and anti-war'

  • Marjorie Taylor Greene defended the suspected Pentagon leaker, saying he is "white, Christian, and anti-war."
  • Greene said, "He told the truth about troops being on the ground in Ukraine and a lot more."
  • The leaked secrets show a range of intelligence about overseas US military involvement.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has defended the man suspected of leaking top-secret Pentagon documents, saying he is "white, male, Christian, and anti-war."

Writing on Twitter, Greene said that this makes Jack Teixeira "an enemy to the Biden regime."

Teixeira, a 21-year-old member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard's 102nd Intelligence Wing, was arrested on Thursday in "connection with an investigation into alleged unauthorized removal, retention, and transmission of classified national defense information," Attorney General Merrick Garland said on Thursday.

Greene said, "He told the truth about troops being on the ground in Ukraine and a lot more.

Ask yourself who is the real enemy?".....

What a divisive clown. Does she actually have a point, or is she just using this as a chance to both build and beat down a strawman?

I am not understanding something.
Given that the US intelligence has never set up conspiracies, why are they so worried about some leaked documents?

That doesn't add up.
They include evidence of US spying on allies (not throwing stones here, we also do it), and potentially compromises intelligence assets in Egypt.
It also paints a somewhat weird picture of Mossad involvement in anti-Netenyahu protests.

If course, the US military HAS been involved in conspiracies. I could name a bunch. Just because apples exist doesn't make this an apple.

Czechoslovakia is an interesting case study on this, I'd suggest.

The list of justifiable wars is short. And most of those probably could have been avoided. But...we are glad you guys came to the party.

Eventually...ahem...

It's an interesting and counterintuitive reaction to the US tightening up classifications recently. They've ended up having to give more people clearance at certain levels to enable processes to be followed because more information in classified.

Please note, I'm talking generally. I have no idea if that applies in this particular case.

In criminal procedure, the credibility and reliability of a State is based upon record. Precedents.

A country should never conspire against anyone.

The US government has done some very shady, wicked and cruel things. Project MKUltra even involved abducting and torturing unsuspecting citizens and even administering LSD to unsuspecting and aware US military troops.
But these things come to light because it's hard to keep people quiet, especially with larger projects.
And in a criminal case the only one standing trial for crimes is the accused. You can't make a case or defend yourself by saying "but he did this."

My country has never conspired against anyone.
I mean...I'm not sure how many instances you'd need, or how tightly you're defining 'your country' but you can't be serious now.

*sighs*

All countries conspire, if to various scales and impact. What would you describe the Treaty of London as?
