"Meaning of Life"

Me Myself

Back to my username
Wouldn't it be a somewhat unfortunate state of affairs if someone has to find a meaning to live?

I am still surprised there is a lack of meaning to it. What meaning is not of life? Even when you put meaning to death, you do so through living.

Who the what the...?

Yeah, language is essential for discerning meaning, in human affairs at least. I'd like to think that my relationship with my dog somehow has meaning in his mind beyond base attachments, but I can never know that without being able to prance a day in his paws. Perhaps I'll have a Freaky Friday type situation with him one day. So far three-thousand opened fortune cookies and no such luck, though. Damn you Disney!

See, the most essential lessons in life are somewhat there engrained inside there of language meaning human. :D

I think dogs can have some meaning. They communicate quite well. I mean, not as great as a human doctor (expect maybe DOG OBGYN), but it's there and all.

Dogs' meaning of life is summarized in one word: bacon.
However, it's not the meaning of life for a pig...
The pig achieves meaning by becoming bacon, ham & BBQ.

Because it makes life more interesting. But hey, why not be boring instead.
To not search for that which isn't leaves more time for interesting & satisfying things, such as eating bacon.

Lots of dog breed carry up to ten human words and up in their vocabulary. I imagine this includes "treat," "lay down," "good boy," etc.

Pigs are a lot smarter! :D
