I think for the fact that we can accurately measure and mathematically equate distances and sizes of physical objects in space means we have an inherit value within us that allows us to basically act as amplified DNA.

Because if you think about it, everything is DNA, it is a memory, something that we already inherently know which is why we are capable of recalling it and even predicting it.

When we eventually produce robots with brilliant minds, your first sentence will be quashed......? Yes?

Everything ......... biological....... is DNA. Maybe a tiny fraction of 1% of everything. And since tiny creatures have DNA and can't recall or predict such things, I think your second sentence fails..... ?

Everything is biological, everything is genetic therefore everything is information. Much like a computer, so what is to say that we are not already robots?

Iron suffers from oxidation, we suffer from radiation...whats the difference?

So what do you think "value" is measured with.

Is it sentiment?

How you feel in the moment?

How the object is performing now?

How the object performed then?

How true it is?

(etc)

And after we determine what exactly it is measured with how does apply to truth?

Is "truth" more literal than metaphorical (or vice versa)?

What is the difference between a literal truth, and a metaphorical truth? And how are these "truths" ultimately measured to determine value?

In summation its an extension of your very being beyond the raw objective reality of your existence. To measure it is to measure your own character. To understand it is to learn something about yourself. To grapple with it is to live.

Thats a good picture. People find value in things that generally bring value to that person. Each piece collectively defines the whole, and perception is the gauge used to invoke the character into bringing value upon an expression or thing!

And as for the ideal measure well that is where the problem is. There is no scale of value. Only if the omniscient god existed he could tell us our individual value, but I fear we will never know. It is up to us to give ourself the value we think we deserve.

If their were to be a scale though, I think it would be based on the ''goodness'' of a person, in terms of value to humanity. To me, good people are worth much more than successful people.
