Men Hitting Women?

Self defense only. Not supposed...or suspected...or wishful thinking situations where self defense is rendered...but actual situations that warrant self-defense. (How often do we read about police officers shooting unarmed youth, and it's like...how you could fear for your life if the person was running away from you? So, those types of situations are not 'self defense')

And I say this for both genders. Violence doesn't belong in any relationship...and if a stranger was to strike you on the street, would you be ok with it? Same thing holds true in relationships.

If a woman strikes a man she should expect to be stricken back. I don't go for that crap of telling a man he can never hit a woman, as if they are all delicate little flowers. I do not believe in abuse, in violence in general, BUT...if a woman starts something with a man she should expect him to want to finish it.

Hello guys.

What do you think of this? Do you think it is okay at some point, depending on the situation, for a man to hit a woman? Would it ever be justifiable?

How would you compare this to women hitting men? Would it be a 1:1 ratio comparison for justification? Do you think the two case studies of women hitting men vs. men hitting women should happen on the same level of situations and justifications?

As for the poll, I believe restraining a woman goes under the first option and it is not considered hitting.

Silly question considering women are involved in warfare in the middle east , is no way I let women put a bullet between my eyes in that situation.
No in west is taboo to use male strength to hit women , girls are for kissing x not hitting .

You've never been hit by me then. There are plenty of women that hit hard and plenty of men that don't. There are women that can seriously hurt a man. I know, I've done so, so have many other women. I was physically abused in my first marriage. I don't let a man ever get the better of me now. Draka don't play that.

Never said my being abused was your fault. Just that, since I was, I will never, ever, allow a man to ever get away with laying his hands on me in violence ever again. That is to say, I learned some moves, nice takedown tactics, and can bring men much bigger than I down without much effort. I once floored a friend of mine on a challenge and he was easily over 6 foot and about 250lbs. In other words...yes...women can hurt a man.

My apologies I told my girl my intentions on rf was spiritual , she suffering right now with failed dental work , been dragging on a few weeks , should not of joked .

I would've picked the second option, but seeing a man hit a woman is pretty sad. I can be a tad conservative, and wish for men to have restraint, as women should too, but i feel men should carry the burden more than women.

A woman accidentally broke my nose once using her elbow.
I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time while she was demonstrating something to her friends.
Needless to say, that hurt. A lot. Like, a lot a lot.

Personally, if a woman goes to slug a man and his first inclination is to hit her back, I think he's a colossal ***. Men are generally MUCH stronger than women and he could kill her with a good blow to the head.

I was married to a man who was 6'4". Once, he admitted to something that made me extremely angry and I tried to punch him in the face with a closed fist. He grabbed my arm and started laughing because he knew I couldn't hurt him. He held my arms until I calmed down. Smart man.
