Menstrual horrors?

Menstruation is nothing to do with the church, sex education or morality. It is a natural function of every female.

So your answer is to tell the girl she will bleed every month for the next 30 years or so and not bother to explain the purpose.

What, why must you make stupid guesses? My answer is to explain what will happen prior to menarche, wtf has this to do with morality and the church?

Or do you explain god made it that all women suffer for their sex?

See how this works?

It would be idiotic to explain the cycle without explaining its purpose since Menarche happens during a time of physical and sexual maturation.

Yes and what has it to do with the church or morality. You raised the subject but seem unwilling to explain

But I have.
The Church promotes a sound, healthy, secular sex education, such as in public schools, but will add to it its own moral component.

Public schools, which is as it should be, do not teach any moral aspect of sex. If you are a parent would you not offer a moral compass when your child reaches the age sexual maturity?

Nope, you've given an irrelevant spiel that satisfies you but it does not explain why a natural bodily function has anything to do with sex anf morality

More than that its dangerous. Some girls cycle begins earlier than others. If parents have not educated them concerning their own body imagine the fear of a young girl discovering her first period in a school bathroom. It seems Florida wants to keep its citizens in the dark about a lot of things..................
Back in the 60's high school 'hygiene classes' were started but apparently No one taught about what to do about monthly cramps.
Years late one woman said she suffered with cramps for 20 some years before a stranger told her to use the suppliment Dong Quai.
She told another suffering woman to try Dong Quai and from then on neither one ever got cramps again.
Seems as if this is still a secret in the United States or am I wrong about this ________

We were told to take Nurofen or Panadol honestly. Which at least here is sold in even grocery stores. So it’s very accessible.
Although there was one poor girl who needed morphine once. But I think she had a medical condition
But Dong Quai I heard about from my Chinese friend. Honestly surprised my mother didn’t know about it. She’s very much into herbal remedies

Even further back, in the fifties, we were introduced to what we later called 'our friend', in 6th grade. Back then I found 'Midol' to be helpful.

With her first period this young girl has become a woman. You are hung up on the word moral, so instead simply go with guidance
in what to expect from her hormonal changes and sex drive. Or of course, don't bother, she will soon pick it one way or another.
But she has a gift to be used wisely.

You introduced morality to menstruation. I am only questioning you trying the two together. Do i assume from your comment trying to lump it onto me that you now do not consider menstruation has morality or the church involved?

No, but to all that a first menstruation signifies, womanhood. You're opposition of moral seems to be to some kind of religious term. It simply means 'good', making wise decisions as to her sexual awakening.

Over time I’ve come to realizations that took years to coalesce, as do most humans. Something that hits differently now: I feel a sense of sadness when a young girl I know in my life has her first period. Because it’s a sentence of sorts, physically and culturally fraught. I cherish the children I bore as a result of my fertility and I’m glad I was able to have children when others cannot, but it was a biology which put me to the test the rest of the time, because it was a misery.
I had religiously imposed limitations on how I could deal with it which I followed at the time, and I regret that now. If I could do it over again, once I had the children I wanted to have, I would’ve had an elective hysterectomy.
So much of misogyny dates back to the garden of Eden and the story of Eve’s role in Adam’s downfall. Certain religious extremes still hold that against women, and if I recall correctly, the Jews of the Old Testament (I don’t know about today) and also other cultures separated the women during her monthly cycle, as if they were somehow less human. Sometimes thinking about all of it makes me tired of people.
