Michael Jackson verdict

It's amazing that nothing is said about him dangling a baby over a balcony. He may not be guilty , but he is certainly not innocent.:149:

I was suprized by the verdict once I heard how many mothers were on the jury and no African Americans. How is that a jury of his peers? Anyway, I saw the jurors in a news conference right after the verdict was read. From what they said, it appears to me that they were hung up on that reasonable doubt thing. I guess we will just have to let God take care of it.

Michael lookes pretty ill these days. He wasn't even happy on his way out of the courtroom today. And if he is guilty, what ever he has sown, so shall he reap, God put a pretty accurate justice system in place, we are usually too eager to see the justice, rather believing that through God justice will be served.

i wasn't too surprised by the verdict, though i can't say i'd been following the trial.

i just feel like celebrity news-washing has been done to death. do we even know these people? should i care that katie holmes is converting to scientology or that the olsen twins just bought a yacht?

honestly, i find the local police logs way more interesting. :D

Well, I believe that was an entirely different case. With how little I pay attention to these things, I don't even remember the outcome of that...does anyone remember what happened with that one?

I just heard something I thought was interesting...that the real problem is that he truly doesn't act like an adult. Sleepovers with kids...And with the baby - you get mad/frustrated/whatever with someone only when you feel that they're on the same level socially/mentally as you, right? you hold them to the same standards. Abusers think that for some reason a four-year-old should never wet the bed, and so punish him/her badly when he/she does. What if Jackson really does have a child mind?

While probably easy to prove untrue, that's a fascinating thought psychologically...

For us laymen who have not followed the trial why do yall percieve him as guilty?
If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, most likely, it's a duck. Unless of course it's Bugs Bunny dressed as Daffy.

Sooo...if he acts like a child molester, he's a child molester? How, pray tell, does a child molester act?

He might just be Bugs Bunny dressed up like a child molester.
Sooo...how does a child molester look? should we go around arresting people for dressing up like child molesters?

Let me say again: And if he is guilty, what ever he has sown, so shall he reap, God put a pretty accurate justice system in place, we are usually too eager to see the justice, rather believing that through God justice will be served.

And here are a few in our local registry found guilty of acts on children <12:

*edit* I can't get the pictures to stick. But there are some really normal looking people who have been convicted of some heinous crimes. I can not say whether Micheal is innocent or guilty, I was not there.

I have never understood the people and the media and the obsession with MJ or any other primetime star. Number one, we don't know anything about what actually happened. Most opinions are out of the media. Admit it, we know nothing. We are not in Michael's home when the allegations occured. We have probably never even seen the Ranch. True.
For all of the christians on this site who battle to uphold the Word of God so highly, 'bearing false witness' is a sin, and the act of judging is not in our hands, but, in the hand of God. so, yea.....think about it....
If Mike did do it, and he may have, what concern is it of ours? None.
Mind our own P's and Q's.

You know CX,

any parent that leaves their kid with MJ should be AUTOMATICALLY convicted of child abuse and endangerment.

I couldn't have said it better myself...thank you!

You would think that after that first accusation some parent's would think twice about leaving their child with this man. :bonk:

Some people are easily amused and befooled, JPFM. Some parents think that they
may be able to cash in by creating a scandal, and, usually backfires. Parents like that
should be charged.

What on earth. :areyoucra Only for keeping Satan's children in order? So Christians are really Satan's children when they break the law?

Eesh, hope you always wear your seat belt and go exactly the speed limit...

What are you saying, we should allow him to continue to molest children?:p

There is also the way this man has portayed himself his whole life. He made it public that he didn't think there was anything wrong with having other people's children sleep in his bed with him....that's just wrong. I just feel that after the first accusation, most parent's would be a bit more apprehensive about leaving our children with this man.

But he is in very bad health, owes a fortune...what sort of life will he have?- if he had gone to prison, he would have died in a short time (I think we all know that); now he has been released, with no money, distrusted, in bad health, is not the 'innocent' verdict a worse punishment?:help:
i believe his stock in the beatles(or was it the rolling stones?) music is valued at over half a billion dollars, not to mention selling over 50million cds of his own. why do you think/say he's broke? i seriously doubt money is an issue.

I normally avoid such shows but I did watch the two specials they had on MJ (morbid curiosity?) within the last couple years and, while I think he has some serious psychological problems (understandable given his father and upbringing), I'm just not sure he's guilty of anything more than bad judgment and being in the position of giving unsavory characters the opportunity for their 5 minutes in the spotlight.

I just don't see that the prosecution made it's case well enough to brand him as a child molester and send him to prison. It's a "he said, she said" with no real proof.

I agree with ND though that any parent who leaves their child unsupervised with him should be charged with neglect.

It's a disgrace that he got off, but I think him being out is probably worse for him, because a lot of people will be out for blood.
