There are exceptions but people forget their own party leaders like Clinton who stated abortion should be safe, legal, and rare.
Emphasis on rare.
Rare because:
- reasonable measures to prevent unwanted pregnancies are readily available, and
- the alternatives to abortion are made so attractive that lots of pregnant people freely choose them.
Not rare because of legal restrictions on abortion.
You are entitled to your opinion, no matter how wrong I know you to be.
But you are not entitled to use the government to impose your opinion on others.
But let's not forget that one of the reasons they are not as rare as we'd hope is that too many Americans object to talking about sex in an honest and open way with their children -- or letting their institutions of eduction do it for them.
Knowledge, and acceptance of the reality of human life, can prevent so many unwanted results.

If you want to call them "unborn children" you take on a huge burden of proof. A child does not exist technically until after it is born. Now many expectant parents try to give their fetuses traits that they do not really have.
Here is the problem. Besides young women in bad situations that need an abortion for their own well being there are also women that have to have an abortion for medical reasons and even though supposedly the law still allows that in antiabortion states doctors are often afraid to provide the care that women who have either had a miscarriage or had that have a life threatening pregnancy. The mortality rate of women is up in antiabortion states.

That act merely allows someone to be charged if a fetus is killed while breaking some specific Federal Laws.
It does not make the killing of the fetus illegal.
