Micro-poetry

Micro-poetry is extremely short poetry. It is very popular on Twitter.

Here is a link describing it: What is Micropoetry?

Micro-poetry challenges you to exercise word economy.

Here is some of my micro-poetry:

-----

I remember my father
standing before the reaper
gray haired & leaning on a cane
in his eyes the future shined.

-----

His mind was quick,
his hands were strong.
In the wild he would be
the wolf but here, sitting
in the bank, he was the rabbit.

-----

The opulent night
pours down
around and through the trees

Here he sees
nothing to fear
other than dark thoughts

-----

Moonlit frozen fields
under vast Montana night.
No power lines, street signs,
or neon lights to witness
the crystal dance.

----

Daylight steals
the poetry
night reveals

----

Words fill their wine cups
as they are blown away
on a pondering wind.

what a fickle
when you feel stuck
in time
sticky
what is not
but always present
it is all I have
now,

Very nice, and interesting too. You have some good stuff there. Thanks for the thread.

Dawn outside wakes me.
But my bed is soft and warm.
Grumbling, I suit up.

"Be strong", I whispered to my coffee.

Yippee! I’m a poet, and I know it
Hope I don’t blow it
