so....if the function proves true.....

does your opinion matter?
do you have what it takes to press your will and subdue all opposition?

and this leads to the term......Almighty

I don't believe might makes right. However, that doesn't detract from the Almighty being right. :)

Might makes right,
Until they've seen the light
They've got to be protected
All their rights respected
Until someone we like
Has been elected.

Might does not make right...it does however go a long way in forcing you to at least agree that it does

It's hard to say. It might be the other way around.

Right makes might.

That is, if an idea or cause is right, then people will support it, their numbers will swell, and then they will be a mighty force to be reckoned with.

But it never seems to be permanent. The mighty eventually fall. Right doesn't always prevail.

I think it's all just a crapshoot.

So, I guess that means that might makes crap. Or maybe crap makes right, since BS seems to be what holds the political system together.

If someone can be almighty and makes the rules, isn't that an expression of might makes right?

Yes and no.

Trump has might but he isn't always right.

However, God is always right and happens to have all might. :)

According to the story, Satan tried a coup.

But might made right.
I think it depends which Bible you read. The way I as non-Christian view God is that there can't be any rebellion. If you think about the Tao and how much point there is rebelling against it... would there be an anti-Tao? Just nope.

There's a few of them with some differences.

You're on RF though, hard not to discuss religion. :D

Differences is exact phrasing, same "god".

Many people who discuss football are not football
players. :D

Right is an illusion. Might determines what will happen regardless. If you think you are right and refuse to be mighty, prepare for things to be wrong. Ask the French aristocracy what happened when the people realised they were the mighty. Heads rolled, right or wrong. Ask the mouthpiece that came next and made the same mistake. He went from right to wrong really quick. The mighty were in a head-chopping mood, you see. And in not so much of a let's-pick-a-leader mood.

Righteousness is never certain. Might is a bit easier to calculate.

Is rape right? Murder? Extortion? Child Abuse? Bullying?

Are you telling me your thought process doesn't get that far?

Not really, no.

One or zero. More than one almighty would make a confusing universe. There is no reason to assume there is one, though.
no assumption.....in the grand scheme of superlatives......
Someone is top of the line life form

You know, @Thief , this thread has me wondering if you believe in God's existence after all.

Going by your posts here, it would appear that you believe in a higher power, but not in a God.
