The fact that so many Americans watch Fox to get their "news" is a rather sad commentary on both objectivity and intelligence of all too many.

So the Onion was the example, but it actually isn't fake news. Got it.

So what is an actual example..? If fake news actually does exist. Or is it an imaginary concept?

I mentioned the Onion because it is a rather obvious form. Mestemia is right: they don't portray themselves as presenting real news.

@Guitar's Cry, @Mestemia,
I think Alex Jones is not fake news... It's commentary (opinion pieces) Not "news".

Or am I wrong?

...I know Rush Limbaugh is definitely commentary, and not news.

Alex Jones does present news, even if in the form of commentary (also a part of CNN and Fox) and unfortunately mixes his crazy messages with these. And people believe him. Trump commended him. I would call anything Alex promotes as a conspiracy theory to be fake news.

Fake news exists either when the factual information is so low it may as well be fictional, or the bias is so much that the facts are whitewashed by it. (Or it is completely fiction, but that is obvious.)

Pretty much any "news" source is merely the reporters opinion.
Especially the likes of Alex Jones, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, Hannity...
The list goes on and on.

What about virtually every liberal news media on air, 24 hrs. a day?

Seriously, what's the difference between Alex Jones and Rachael Maddow? Is Anderson Cooper "fake news" or not? Someone help me understand..!

<EDIT> I started a new thread:
Is all news "fake news"..?
