We're not talking about slavery. We're talking about marriage.Slavery was legal was too. Telling me something is legal therefore it's ok is foolishness.
Owning human beings as property is illegal in the United States.Not a 100% accurate statement.
Slavery is legally still alive and well. Just it's not in the hands of private citizens anymore.
