OK so comic book movies seem to be the big thing now...
X-men, Batman, Superman, Fantastic 4, Daredevil etc.
and they are cranking out more, a Ghost Rider, there are talks for a Wonder Woman flick, a Wolverine and Magneto spinoff flick...

so are there any comic book characters that you would like to see on the big screen...if so do you know who you'd like to have play them??

I don't know about the silver surfer, but I've never been into him much.

I would like to see a Venom movie, about the conflicts of his good VS evil nature.

The Ghost rider movie should be wicked.

That's a picture of the Ghost Rider movie board. He looks so cool.

Ghost Rider's bike for the movie.

I think a Wolverine movie has a lot of potential.

I don't like the Justice League so blech to them.

Juggernaut is going to be in the new X-men movie, they better do him justice.

I'ld like to see a Deadpool movie

It is funny that you mention that comic movies are all the rave. What is funny about this new trend is that it is 40 years too late and they are quickly driving this trend into the ground. Quantity over quality seems to be the order of the day and more and more comic liscences are being abused to conform to Hollywood standards.

I would like to see Jeff Smith's Bone made into a live action or animated movie.
I would like to see some Vertigo characters like Sandman, Death, Lucifer, Kid Eternity, Animal Man, Jonah Hex made into a movie.
DC's Spectre series would be a CGI fetival for the eyes.
Marvel's Moon Knight character would be hoot to see on the big screen.

Just saw Sin city. I havn't read the comic...but the movie was an amazing visual specitical. I believe it was kept very true to the feeling and unique look of the comic. I loved it. 9.5/10 from me.

I hate double posting but it's the easiest way.

Of course they are slaughtering the comics...that's what Hollywood does, put out a 100 movies, 5 are great, 10 are good, 20 are barely worth the time. Why would comics be any different? I think they did a good job with Spiderman. I'm a bit disapointed with X-men and we won't even talk about The Hulk.

I would like to see some less known comics that are original and unique (Sin City) made into movies with the same style and feel.

Preacher is the one i'm still waiting for. Its the story of the offspring between a Devil and Angel, who inherits the word of God. I can't think of anyone who could play the lead charecter Jessie Custer, I just want to see it made.

a superman movie that has doomsday in it would be awsome!

The only problem with Doomsday is that he's not really much of a character, he's more of a plot point ( from what I have read anyway).

But he has a really cool design and is pretty ******, maybe a cameo?

It is going into Wednesday and there is no reviews for Ghost Rider yet. I wonder if it is going to be available for the critics to preview.

To be honest Pat, I have the sinking feeling it's going to be another Dare Devil :cover:

I personally thought they should've went with Danny Ketch instead of Johnny Blaze. And Blackheart should've looked...well...like Blackheart.

I'm supposed to be going with a coworker to see this on Sunday. I don't expect much especially with Nicholas Cage (acting like Elvis once again) as the lead role. Danny Ketch would have made for a more interesting storyline. All this technology and they still cannot produce the magic.

I totally agree there. I don't get that dark feeling like I did with Blade (the first one) or even Spawn. It feels more uppity than it should.

My friend and I saw the preview for Ghost Rider months ago, and when we saw the release date looked at each other and went: Well, it can't be too good, can it? Who releases a comic book movie in *February*?

If there aren't reviews yet, that's not exactly a good sign either. :(

There are so many that I would pay to see done correctly. Green Lantern, Punisher, Flash to name a few.

I really would like to see Xmen doing the Xecutioners Song storyline.

Christopher Lloyd would have been a great Inspector Gadget.. too late for that mess, I guess. Its a good business, and the scripts already exist for the most part. I'm glad that more comic book movies are taken seriously now.

Did you ever watch the 5 disc series of The Flash or see it when it was on TV? It wasn't too bad. Mark Hamill as The Trickster.

I can't wait for ghost rider and IMO they picked the best person to play the part, Nicholas Cage is a awsome actor!
I can't wait for the wolverine film either, I hope they do it like Blade was done though as it really won't work if they do it like x-men, Wolverine is not a kiddy character!
