More comic book movies

I hate double posting but it's the easiest way.

Of course they are slaughtering the comics...that's what Hollywood does, put out a 100 movies, 5 are great, 10 are good, 20 are barely worth the time. Why would comics be any different? I think they did a good job with Spiderman. I'm a bit disapointed with X-men and we won't even talk about The Hulk.

I would like to see some less known comics that are original and unique (Sin City) made into movies with the same style and feel.

Yeah i used to love the marvel comics though i don't read them much anymore, but i got sick of hearing one was being made into a hollywood blockbuster, bouncing off the walls with anticipation only to finally see the movie and think 'what a pile of s**t' i think the main problem that producers don't seem to grasp is that the comic book characters had personalities, some quite deep. not just tight spandex outfits and bulging muscles. Look at george clooney's batman, ben aflecks dare devil, etc. no depth.

I can't wait to see the Wolverine movie. They even got Hugh Jackman for it.
And then Magneto would be good.

Huh? Daredevil rocked! Much better then the comics!

I think a live action dragon ball movie would be frickin awesome!

Anybody heard any reviews on Ghost Rider yet? I'm too scared to see how they butchered it :cover:

I agree! But it'd have to be done right. Last I heard they were attempting to make one.

Just saw Sin city. I havn't read the comic...but the movie was an amazing visual specitical. I believe it was kept very true to the feeling and unique look of the comic. I loved it. 9.5/10 from me.
Speaking of Frank Miller, I saw a behind the scenes thingy for '300' last night...it looks bloody awesome.:clap2:

I read many reviews on Rotton Tomatoes
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/

You have to weed through the comments but overall the movie doesn't look like it will be painful. My favorite comment was the "So Bad It's Good" review. Sounds like my kind of picture.

Yeah, and he's helping to produce as well. It should be awesome, but then, even if it sucks, I'll still be happy because of Hugh. :hearts: More shirtless Wolverine plleeeaase... :p

I doubt they could produce even a half way decent DB/DBZ live action movie. Not too mention it would be corny as hell. I haven't watched DB since DBGT was dubbed to English, which didn't excite me at all, since I had already watched them all in Japanese with English suptitles. I still have them all on tape somewhere.

I would like to see a Hellsing movie. The anime does follow the manga pretty good. They did change a few big things though, such as how vampires and ghouls are made.

Saw the commercial for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles today.

Just because we can use CGI doesn’t mean we should.

I watched, maybe 10 seconds of the trailer late last month/early this month. I doubt it tops the original Turtle movies. I still remember getting in trouble for yelling damn (after watching the first Tenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie) when something went wrong, and after getting yelled at for "bad language," I innocently replied "But Rapheal said it." Maybe being a kid is better than a grown up. A few my friends also went through a similiar experience. :biglaugh:

I highly doubt that as well. The originals were the best. The same goes for the cartoon series. These new Turtles seem....lacking.

I'm also not a fan of the CGI route. They need to pull out those Jim Henson suits again.
