As you've grown older have you become more right-wing?

It is often said that this is what usually happens but I'm not actually sure it does...

However, I most certainly have

I used to be a Communist but now I'm a Social Democrat

Perhaps it would be more accurate to say that people become less left-wing as they grow older?

Im pretty much the same as I've been since i started thinking politics. Every now and again I do the political compass, I've moved very little from around the middle of the bottom left square.

A lot of people seem to grow out of being left for-the-sake-of-it. Don't need to take a position because other left wing people take it, or some dead guy wrote about it.

I think many people would see me as extreme left, but I think a lot of the things I want are pretty reasonable, common sense even. I have changed in how I view conservatives, in so far as I think that we need them to have a society that can explore all options. Though finding a conservative who isn't just a racist halfwit or a radical neoliberal is quite rare.

Nope. Started out right-wing, now I'm somewhere left of center and still heading west, if you're looking at the political compass.

I think I'm where I always was, it's the party/"left" that changed.

"Right wing" has multiple definitions.
Which do you use?

It's really not accurate.

Seems more like survivorship bias imo

For me, no. I was RW and Conservative when I was younger, but I've gone further and further Left as the years go on.

If anything, I've shifted farther to the left.

I've been left wing or progressive since I was a wee lad.

Same as always socially liberal, but a bit more fiscally conservative. (Mainly stop paying. The ****ing DoD so much).

Probably before Christianity, I was moderate but not sure as I never assessed it. As a Christian, I went from very conservative to moderate, then after Christianity, I was fairly liberal. Recently I am back to moderate.
