More school/gun ridiculousness

A deaf 3-year-old boy is being asked by the school to change the way he signs his name because it looks too much like a gun, which violates their policy about miming guns or something.

What is the point of all this 'getting rid of everything gun-related' from schools? Does it even serve any purpose at all?

How dumb are schools becoming these days. Even if it may be an inappropriate act (the act in general), miming a gun won't kill anyone.
What makes it even worse is that the 3-year old probably doesn't even know what a gun is.

Next thing you know, kids will be banned from using water guns in their own yards...

The point is to get rid of violence from schools. The problem is I'm completely unaware of any link between miming guns and increased violence.

I think it's an occasion of the do-gooders actually being do-dumbers...
