Five senses are adequate to be spiritual. The added experiences some have though can tell us more about the nature of reality. In some books I’ve read/am reading, there is talk about perceiving beyond your five senses. Like, a sixth sense. Some sort of intuitive gut feeling that you get I guess.
Do I really have to try to exceed and go beyond my five sense to be spiritual? Are my five senses not adequate?
I can always guess the number of beans in a jar or the number really of anything, like matches in a heap or whatever.
And some people can see more colors than other people.
Oh, and to some people, but not all people. cilantro tastes like soap.
Same here! I love cilantro! But apparently like many other people, I am missing some gene that makes me taste bitter things better, like dark beer, Brussel sprouts, etc.I can as well.
When I was a senior in high school, I won a really nice boombox by correctly guessing the quantity of jellybeans in a large jar.
For the record, I was tested for autism as an adult, and it was concluded that I am not autistic.
I also experience this.
I'm glad it doesn't taste like that to me.
Weird about the jellybeans. I won a nice pair of binoculars once!
LOL I didn't give away anything. In fact I recently found those binoculars again! But your story is nice.It doesn't feel weird to me because I've been this way my whole life.
It was a very nice boombox, but I didn't keep it. I gave it as a gift to a classmate's sister who had leukemia, along with a mixtape I made for her.
Sadly, she passed away about six months later, and her brother kept it and the mixtape as a reminder of her.
