More tradgedy among the Prop 8 debate

That is real mature. You don't like someones beliefs so you force them out of their job.

Ill probably get screamed at again for this but, the trend continues.:(

This member of the church was pretty much forced to resign from his position because of his support of prop 8.

Not sure if this is a tragedy.....

Sad and uncalled for, but when you support something so divisive and unpopular, this could have been forseen.

Just like Oedipus pushing for answers that people didn't want him to find. Very divisive. Very unpopular. Tiresias foresaw it, but to no avail.

What a tragedy!

(By the way, I agree that this is not a tragedy.)

NAh, i'd rather not create another thread about how much ya'll hate mormons. kinda tired of it.
I don't hate Mormons at all and I don't believe that most people here do either. I certainly don't agree with them on everything, but I have many Mormon friends who are very kind and loving. Which is why I was so shocked and dismayed by the strong and loud LDS church support for Prop 8, something that blatantly sought to hurt the families and children of gay people.

we see it differently, we see gay marriage as an attack on the family and the pattern set forth by God and his plan for his children to find true haoppiness.

Well, I don't wish to debate here because it is not allowed, but I do not wish to attack your family, I only wish your family health and happiness. But I do feel mine is under attack and only seek the legal protections of the law.

Artistic Director Resigns Amid Prop. 8 Boycott - Local News Story - KCRA Sacramento

Wow - this is a real shame. I'm sure he will be missed - California Music Theatre is an excellent theatre company. I imagine it created so much discord because - I don't know why - but there is a very high percentage of homosexuals who work in the theatre industry, particularly in musical theatre. As he said - even though it was not his intention - many of his colleagues, artists, and audience base was probably hurt and offended by his stance. Wrong or right, it is within their rights to boycott the organization and it sounds like he chose to step down to save the non-profit organization from potential closure. Too bad that the organization took a hit for his personal view on this matter.
