That seems like an absurd comparison. Heroin does kill people, but homosexuality doesn't, and the Bible doesn't speak at all to committed same-sex relationships, as they didn't really exist at that time.

So, you agree that homosexuality doesn't kill, right? You mentioned sexually transmitted diseases that can lead to death in HETEROSEXUALS. So, I'm not sure why you even mentioned them, as they are irrelevant to this conversation. I will assume that you aren't stupid enough to connect aids and hepatitus with homosexuality in general.

I suppose "blessing" in this case means approval not the usual meaning of wishing good for a person. I believe the church can always wish good for sinners and those who are their victims.

Blessing as approval as in a Father giving his blessing to a future son-in-law marrying his daughter.

I believe the church has to view the children of a sinful relationship as victims of the sin.
