One thing to consider is that most(not all) people in the bible are either hebrew or arab. Arab and Hebrew cultures have always valued lighter skin because it stands for wealth- a person who has lighter skin doesn't have to work out in the sun as much and doesn't have as dark of a complection. Nearly no whites were even in the Bible. Some say the book of mormon is a sham in itself because of this fact. just something to consider.

well, i guess that just about concludes this thread. pretty good run, roughly 660 posts in 7weeks and after all this, what did we learn? nothing we didnt already know.........

I think that pretty much sums it up.

Actually I found a number of responses very educational, though not always in the way the poster intended.
