Most correct religion for mankind

sunsplash

Freckled
It was previously suggested that Judaism is the most correct religion for mankind. Yosef, a secular Jew, disagrees.

Is Judaism the most correct religion for mankind?? If not, is there another in particular that fits the bill?

I think we all can agree that a religion can be right or wrong for an individual, but collectively or universally, is there one that stands out as a brighter beacon to guide all of humanity?

To me Sunsplash, Judaism isn't the greatest religion for anyone, because for one, it offers no real spirituality. Just talk to most religious Jews. They follow the law and the Rabbis out of heritage. There is no real spirituality in it. It makes them moral, but just ask most Jews why they follow, and they'll say because their parents did. Number two, it's an arrogant religion that suggests the Gentiles have no knowledge, a statement that is all over the Tanakh, and that Gentiles need Jews to teach them, so they have the Noahide laws. Judaism is a popostorous religion to me, and I don't buy that chosen people deal either. If God is not universal and cannot teach all nations about himself, without having to choose a specific nation, then what kind of God is Hashem exactly? A national god, that's what. As for what religion is correct for mankind? Does any specific one have to be?

I don't see why a person would want to follow Judaism just because they're Jewish, or because their parents did. There's nothing spiritual about that. I know an elderly Jewish man that grew up in my parent's community, and he believes we just die, and that there is nothing spiritual above this, yet he keeps the Torah because it's his heritage. I don't see anything truly spiritual about that. He is also very rude and arrogant and puts down non-Jews like they're dogs.

Basically Sunsplash I don't follow Judaism, because it offers no real spirituality. That's my answer

Not at all. But the original statement was very bold and I am genuinely interested in learning why that belief is held, for any religion. It is quite a powerful and passionte stance.

Is there a path of Judaism that *is* more spiritual and less rabbinical? I'm thinking along the lines of following the God of Abraham, using Torah, but subracting any rabbinical laws added later - like Protestants subracting some of the Catholic books in the Bible but both still remaining "Christian?"

have you ever read quran?the best way to know islam,is by reading the quran...

Some, not all. I have a copy on my bookshelf. While many of the teachings are beautiful and moral, a vast number of religions teach sound teachings too that would seem to best benefit humanity.

What are your specific reasons for believing Islam best suits mankind, reasons that perhaps other faiths cannot claim?

If you look at each post, there's a red triangle in the upper right-hand corner with an exclamation point. That's how you report a post. Then you can include the reason why you'd like it moved.

Sunsplash the reason it's impossible to seperate Judaism from the Rabbis is because basically the scriptures themselves were not written down until a much later time, and the traditions is what the later written things were transmitted through. You cannot seperate the written Torah from the oral Torah.

Done here.
"Correct religion" is an oxymoron, or at least devoid of objective meaning. A religion may be useful or meaningful, but there's no objective basis for calling any religion "correct."

As for Judaism, it makes no claim to be "the most correct religion for mankind."

for me,we live for purpose.everything around us is created by creator in harmony.everything in this world has law.for example, for an aircraft to fly above the sky, they need to follow newton's law and bernoulli's principles.all things in this world follow the law of the creator..F= ma,earth rotate around the sun and never stop, all that is because they follow the law of the creator.

we as human also must follow the creator's law.there are only one law that lead us to heaven which is the only religion.we must follow that religion,in order for us to safe.

for me,islam is the best.when i read quran,it give me the feeling of peace.to be honest,i always read the meaning of quran when i got trouble in my life.for me,it is the best medicine to solve my problem.even my friends, girl friend and my parents cannot give comfort me when i am in problem like word of god(quran) do.

besides that, lot of scientific facts in the quran are recently proved, despite the quran has been revealed 1400 years ago.sorry for my bad english..

Smoke I'd argue if Judaism is even the correct religion for Jews, which it does claim it is, and that's where I take issue.

If you could indoctrinate an entire generation with the same religion, I'm sure any of them would work equally as well as a religion for mankind. What's the difference between one set of myths and arbitrary rules and another?
