I have to go in again on Sunday. :( I guess they either found something suspicious, or they forgot to do the contrast injection.

I've had 2 MR scans to check up on the brain infarction caused by the stroke I experienced. I found them more interesting than annoying. The main thing I remember about them is that the contrast injections were performed by a Finnish technician, and they consisted of a gadolinium salt. Gadolin, who discovered that element, was a Finnish chemist.

Saw you will never be alone. Doctors and nurses around you from time to time and family if they are going with you. Most of the time someone you know and who cares about your well being well be 2 feet or less away from you. As another atheist I know you must wonder about not having faith. Have faith in what is real. In the doctors, your friends the medical field that made this technology. You will be in a room of nuturing humans in a machine designed for one reason...to find what doctors can do to protect you.

Ahhh got the results back today, and it was as expected (and I'm very excited). Sacroiliitis of the back, most likely caused by ankylosing spondylitis which I was genetically predisposed for. I'm actually really happy that they found something. And the best part, no more MRIs. :p
