Mrs. Mycroft thinks...

Anyone can say 'I love you,' and not mean it. Within the actions, however, is where meaning it truly lies. Not in grandiose gestures, but in the little things: Peeling her orange, because you know she doesn't like to, she remembers that you like unsalted butter best, you remember her dog likes a certain kind of snack, she remembers your favourite stoic philospher.... and so on.
Definitely agree with all that. :)

I need more though. I'm a very expressive person and wordless action isn't enough for me.

If I like or love you, I'll let you know quite often with action and words, I can't help myself.

Words can be important. If, for example (not that this happened to me or anything like that), you realize that your partner has not said those words in long, long time while you have been saying them (and demonstrating them) on a daily basis, and you realize that your partner really hasn't been demonstrating them, either, and so as an experiment you stop saying them, and your partner doesn't notice, it might be a sign that there is something seriously wrong with your relationship.

Mrs Mycroft thinks the following:

What do you think? Do you agree or disagree with Mrs. Mycroft?
Does she mean feelings as emotions or as intuitive beliefs. Either way there are arguments against, but they are very different connotations.

I think she means emotions as intuitive beliefs. She is, after all, a classical and not a romantic.
