Mueller Hearings

You are not keeping up, Trump is lowering drug costs, through a task force he has appointed to do so.
Meantime, what has actually happened to drug costs, so far?
Well, for one thing, some people are driving to Canada to buy lifesaving drugs that are too expensive in the US.

When Obama had Congress, he passed ACA.
When Trump had Congress, he did not "repeal and replace" ACA
When Trump had Congress, he did not lower drug costs.

Still, all is not lost...

Column: Trump putting Rick Scott in charge of his healthcare push is a sick joke

The hallmark of the Trump administration is its quest to put exactly the wrong people in charge of agencies and policies. But his designation of Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) as his point man on healthcare goes well over the line into self-parody.

Put simply, one could not find a worse figurehead for a push on improving healthcare than Rick Scott. As Florida’s governor, he presided over an epic decline in the state’s insurance coverage rate. He refused to accept Medicaid expansion under the Affordable Care Act, depriving 1.4 million residents of coverage they would have received with the change.

Scott presents himself as a healthcare expert. He boasts: “I ran one of the largest healthcare companies in the world.”

That company is Columbia/HCA, which Scott ran until 1997. He left just months after the federal government announced a sprawling investigation into whether the company had systematically defrauded Medicare, Medicaid and other government healthcare programs.

Ya gotta admit Trump is a genius when it comes to selecting the right people for the job.

The point being made here is that he doesn't have the authority to exonerate or not exonerate.
If Mueller has no authority then why was he appointed special council? My point, regardless of whom or who does not have authority, is that Trump did not tell the truth when he said Mueller completely exonerated him when Mueller said under oath to Congress that he did not exonerate him. Mueller also feared Trump has set a new normal, I guess for divisive politics, and or for not telling the truth.

I rarely comment about politics because it appears to be such a dirty business, despite many well meaning people in it who are honest and who want to make things work better for all.

Moreover, Trump has been proven not to tell the truth for whatever reasons about many other things as well so you have to ask the question what is wrong with his supporters that not telling the truth matters? It kind of reminds me when Nixon said after leaving office that being President means that whatever he says is true it is in fact true because of his holding office as President. Does anyone really believe that, or do they simply makeup their own truth regardless of facts?

Quite some time ago Trump said he could shoot someone in broad daylight and he would not lose any of his supporters. I’m quite willing to believe that, along with his Republican enablers.

This might be my last post regarding politics because my disgust with it is so profound! I question that so far the only good thing going on in the US is that so far it still has a free press!

...but what's the "real" question?
