Nah, you're not weird. There's elements of sadomasochism throughout various religions. Catholicism is a highly sadomasochistic religion. I think that's one of the things that drew me towards it.

I had the same thought for those two points :D

As for the prayer, in public place they even completely separate the two genders because at some point people keep coming in big numbers that makes it like impossible to regulate the lines of both genders separately.

Oh, the Holy Mosque in Makkah is too big to not have problems in this regard. People act like families there anyways.

Many religions have these elements. I've even met a Christian who relates to God as a "dom" and for her it's liberating. Some people in dom-sub relationships actually find it nurturing and a way to be most vulnerable and intimate, even loving. It's not surprising that those elements make their way into relationships with deities or the Divine.

Does eroticism really have to be "dirty?" I love the sensuality of the high Anglo-Catholic traditions, the erotic images of Christ, even the crucifix. St. John of the Cross had a very erotic relationship with Christ, even desiring to become Christ's groom, an interesting image. His spirituality is appealing to many gay men. Song of Songs, often taken as a metaphor for a relationship with God in Judaism or Christ in Christianity, is steeped in sexual imagery. Holy Communion itself is a sexual act, a spiritual consummation, receiving Christ's Body into the soul through the mouth. But none of that ever felt "dirty" to me.

Many religions use self-induced pain as a prayer technique, too, including Catholicism. Used properly it can be a way to induce ecstasy.

I don't see the problem.
