My 41th birthday

So tomorrow's my 41th birthday. My chess.com chess ratings are at all-time highs except bullet because I can't move the mouse fast enough. 14-day per move is 1733.

Also, I've read 50 books since my last birthday exactly. That makes at least 1050 in my life.

I have 6 published books now, many in multiple editions.

I have a zoom job tutoring students with bachelor's degrees from other countries for the GRE/GMAT in math so they can get visas.

Thank you for reading this.

Happy birthday.

A long time ago in a forgotten age, I would have noted that next year you'll learn the secret to life, the universe and everything. But let's see what 2021 brings.

Do you have a designated reading spot, or do you read books wherever you find yourself to be?

Happy birthday, BTW. :)

I read the old huge Guniess Book of World Records when I was young with a very good, almost photographic memory that I still kind of have, but memories fade after a while.

Sitting down in my apartment or lobby and reading on my Kindle or a printed book. I'm a poor reader, or maybe I should say I'm a good reader but slow, but if I spend a lot of time it's OK.

I peak at things later in life because my neurotransmitters started out too high, so they're balanced at things when other people may age are low already.

You have achieved many thresholds. Congratulations and Happy Birthday!

I like chess. :) But don't have time to play.

Just my experience with Chess.com

I manage to get my rating above 1800. First tournament @ 1800-2000 I got my backside thoroughly handed to me. Seems a completely different level of chess player past 1800.

You probably studied a lot like I have. My secret is to play 14-day per move and then think 12 moves ahead if necessary or more if necessary.
