I am more into documentaries...I almost regard watching movies as wasting time! I also don't read novels...

I enjoy watching recorded university lectures that are available in Youtube...and reading non-fiction books..

I am not a boring person though :)

My favorite movie of all time will always be Jurassic Park. tbh it's the last classic blockbuster a la Star Wars/Indiana Jones/Jaws/Terminator (original)/E.T., and the effects have aged incredibly well.

My favorite horror film is a French film called Martyrs. Wow.

My favorite drama is probably Requiem for a Dream. Ellen Burstyn's monologue on aging brings me to tears every time.

My favorite 80s movie is Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, no shame in my game

My favorite campy movie is a tie between Troll 2 and Crossroads (that one Britney Spears movie that I realized later on slingshotted a nascent Zoe Saldana's career haha!)

I find myself always watching Southern Comfort. It takes place in swamps of Louisiana in 1973.A bunch of red neck weekend warriors, better known as the national guard reserves, are in the swamp doing military exercises. One of the red neck dudes is a nock off jokester and soon finds out you don't mess with the locals, who are outback cajuns. These soldiers get lost in the swamp and the hunt is on.Full action packed movie. It features some really good actors in it.It is a real movie,no CGI or anything like that.Good acting and lots of action.Old school 1981 movie.

Ps.Ry Cooder did the soundtrack.Awesome music and some authentic cajun music too.

Great cajun music.Makes me want to make some gumbo and eat gator.

I watched the old Russian version of Solaris recently and I was so absorbed I couldn't stop thinking about it for days after. It is the saddest film I've ever seen.

Great soundtrack and I liked the movie but it would have been so much better if everyone had played their roles straight instead of over the top exaggerations of already exaggerated characters found in the movies it paid homage to. The kiss scene between the two leads, with that soundtrack swelling, remains one of the more joyful and well done moments in film on the point.

I'm so glad all the performances were over the top.
It reminded me so much of the 3 Stooges.
