She is so much fun....she asked me..honey...have you ever tried dumpster diving,???

And I was like....yeahhhh uhmm why???

Her reply was I WANT US TO DO THAT TOGETHER (screening the words)

My reply...Ok...when and where
My 70 some years old Mom got caught dumpster diving a few years ago. It's not illegal I guess but she did say something about the expression on the cops face when an old lady came out of the dumpster! :)

Only if one get caught  i think:oops:
Depends on the local laws. Most the time its considered discarded property and fair game so long as the dumpster isn't locked up or in a secured location.
Have fun. You can find all kinds of neat things (I've never bought a vacuum cleaner due to dumpster diving).

Make sure you aren't breaking any laws.

Make sure you aren't breaking any laws.

Cops often arrest people for doing perfectly legal
things, simply because someone (or the cop) doesn't
like it.
Typically it's not trespassing if no one is "trespassed",
ie, notified by sign or being told. "Loitering" is a legal
term with a precise definition, but few cops actually
know the law, & believe that it's simply anyone who
is in one place for more than a few seconds.

Ehmmm its kind of not actually legal in Norway either......
Neither is it in Germany. But many people do it and there are activists who want to make it legal.
It is also illegal to reuse any food people don't eat in a restaurant including giving it away. I know of one case where staff from a restaurant was indicted for packaging food for the convenience of dumpster divers.
