All you need is love.
This thread is solely for the purpose of documenting my latest paranormal investigation at The Crescent Hotel & Spa in Eureka Springs, Arkansas on Tuesday, July 12, 2022. I documented my previous investigation at the Crescent in this thread: My Paranormal Investigation-The Crescent Hotel & Spa. For those who aren't familiar with who I am, I'm a firm believer in the paranormal, first as a sensitive and a medium, second as a paranormal investigator and researcher, and third as an eyewitness to poltergeist activity and other paranormal phenomena. I guess it's well known by now that investigating and researching the paranormal is a passion of mine.
Please note that my thread is not a debate thread for skeptics determined to prove that the paranormal is not real. My thread is not a preaching soapbox for Christians (and other Abrahamic theists) to fervently insist that it's wrong to believe that earthbound human spirits (a.k.a. ghosts) exist because it's demonic in nature and goes against what's taught in the Bible or some other holy book.
I repeat, my thread isn't a debate thread or a soapbox to preach on. Also, debate and mocking members isn't allowed in this forum. My thread is for documenting my investigations and it's for paranormal enthusiasts who are genuinely interested in the paranormal.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Here's a recap of the terms that I often use in my posts relating to the paranormal.
EMF - Electromagnetic Fields
An EMF meter (detector) measures fluctuations in electromagnetic fields. It's a common theory among paranormal investigators that spirits have the ability to manipulate these fields. Unexplained EMF readings often indicate something paranormal.
EVP - Electronic Voice Phenomena
An EVP is the voice of a spirit interacting with living people through an EVP recorder or a digital recorder. A spirit box (or ghost box) gives spirits the chance to speak in comprehensive sentences. A Class-A EVP is an intelligent answer to a question that everyone present can hear, whether it's a disembodied voice or it's heard through a spirit box, an EVP recorder, or a digital recorder.
SLS - Structured Light Sensor
An SLS camera can detect human shapes in absolute darkness or full light. It allows paranormal investigators to detect spirits that can't be seen with the naked eye, unless a spirit manifests. It gives paranormal investigators the ability to see a 3D image (like a skeleton) of a spirit. The green lines and white dots are spirits that have been mapped out by the camera through an infrared grid.
Before I share the details of my latest investigation at the Crescent, I thought I'd share a background story of how I learned about the hotel and why I've investigated this location more than once. I first heard of the hotel while watching the Ghost Adventures episode of their investigation at the hotel in June 2019. You can watch this episode for yourself on Discovery Plus. It's season 21, episode 7. My first investigation at the hotel was in late August 2020. I've gone back and conducted four paranormal investigations since then, for a total of five. The Crescent has a lot of poltergeist activity both inside and outside the hotel, and I've interacted with multiple spirits both inside and outside the hotel, which is why I keep going back there. It has rightfully earned a well-deserved reputation for being America's most haunted hotel. I have stayed overnight at the hotel once with my husband in early July 2021. It was during this visit that my cautious husband became a true believer in the paranormal after he had his first exposure to paranormal phenomena after witnessing poltergeist activity for himself. He has always believed me when I shared my experiences with him, but he had never had a personal experience with the paranormal before our overnight stay at the Crescent. He believes it, but he's reluctant to seek it out.
Now here are the details of my latest paranormal investigation at the hotel yesterday morning. I arrived at the hotel around 9:30 and started taking pictures of all the front windows. I slowly walked around to the back of the hotel, taking pictures of the side windows and a few of the yard around me. I also took pictures of all the windows and the balconies once I got to the back of the hotel. Taking pictures of the outside of a location that I'm investigating is part of the process I use to find tangible evidence of the paranormal. I haven't finished reviewing all of my pictures yet, but I've already seen something in one of my pictures that caught my eye, and I'm still examining it. It was hard for me to focus on my task because of all the commotion around me. Not only is the Crescent quite active with spirits, it is also active with living people who are staying at the hotel to personally experience something paranormal.
After I finished taking pictures of the back of the hotel, I walked up the stairs and entered the hotel. I stepped inside and began my investigation by taking pictures of the lobby. There was no need for me to use my spirit box because I could hear the spirits without it, and there was no point in using my EVP recorder because there was no way I could record a decent EVP with the amount of noise in the lobby from both the dead and the living. As I was walking around taking pictures, I was recognized by a hotel docent, whom I had talked to during a couple of my previous investigations. I call him my "inside source," because during my last investigation, he let me into the most active room in the hotel that was vacated that morning, so I had the opportunity to investigate the room before it was cleaned and locked for the next guest. He also asks me how my investigation is going and what I've experienced so far. Well, this time at the hotel, he invited me to come along for the historical tour, and he gave me permission to use my spirit box, EMF meter, and SLS camera. The other guests didn't mind that I was using my equipment during the tour. We were in a very haunted hotel after all.
They listened to my friend give his speech on the history of the hotel and a few stories of the paranormal activity documented in the building. He didn't mind that the other guests were also watching me and asking me questions when he wasn't talking. He basically incorporated my investigation into his tour. After the tour was over, a few of the guests stayed with me and watched me use my equipment. They asked me questions, and we stood around and talked for awhile. They were excited to see the images appear and disappear on my SLS camera and hear the spirits speak to us through the spirit box. I was kind of relieved when they had to leave, because I wanted some time to investigate on my own. I walked around each floor and interacted with a few spirits, but I didn't use my equipment that much. There were a lot of curious living guests around, so I didn't have much time alone to conduct a thorough investigation. I did manage to capture a few SLS images from the stairs in the lobby, but that was it. I couldn't find a quiet area to record EVPs, so I gave up on it. I was at the hotel for only two hours this time because I had plans to meet my daughters and in-laws for lunch, but I'm glad I had the chance to return to the hotel. I'd like to stay overnight the next time I plan a trip to Eureka Springs.
Well, this is the end of my OP. I'll post the SLS images in subsequent posts. I must ask everyone reading my OP to please respect the boundaries I've set for my thread, and that means no debating and challenging other people's beliefs in the paranormal or preaching about how it's wrong for people to believe in ghosts. A friendly reminder that my thread isn't a debate thread or a preaching soapbox.
