After calling upon an angel in my first ever ritual, and then Krishna in the next few after that, I've finally decided to call upon 'God' in general. In my last ritual I did not give this God a name, just a monotheistic God in general. In my mind I imagined Jesus, as well as the concept of God I've held for the last few years, and as well as Krishna. I kept transitioning between the three figures before finally deciding to just say 'God' and not give it a face or a name. I was very undecided on which God I felt most at home with. I couldn't decide which God was the real one listening. To my mind, it doesn't matter much what you envision God as, God understands we're humans and our minds cannot comprehend God.
I believe from now on I will continue to just call upon the God I've felt the presence of in the last few years of my life, akin to Brahman of Advaita Vedanta philosophy and the Divine described by Alan Watts. That's how I've always viewed God: as the form that existence takes from T=0 and until the end of time(?). I understand now that Brahman is not visualized as a God but instead as a concept, but I can't help but believe this Totality is, in some way or another, aware and has a will. That is God to me.
I'd like to note that I've been interested in Jesus' teachings and philosophy lately as well, and consider him one of many important prophets of wisdom.
