Sorry for your loss StF....its hard losing someone so close. My own Mom is 91 and I dread the day when I have to say goodbye to her. :(

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
My deepest heartfelt sympathy Frank. Please stay strong. I have no parents either, as with many others as well.

Just wanted you to know your not alone in this way, and solace and direction can be found among those who share the pains felt in experiencing the loss of parents.

There will always be a direction to take in spite of pain, and saddness is not forever.

I wasn't expecting this...

Goodness, Frank, I'm at a bit of a loss for words here. I'll definitely remember you in my prayers. Please, just hold on. You'll pull through.

Thank you, everyone. I'm just trying to hold on right now.

Frank, it took me a bit to digest what you said (in op). I notice two things supported me when my grandmother passed: support and time. Make sure you have some support or listening ear. It took me over a couple of years to say why I was grieving.

I wish I had more to say. I believe that it is literally true that spirits exist and they are in the hearts of their family after them. If you believe the same, your mother is in you (literally as well as spiritually).

Chin up for one more minute.

She passed at 3:19 pm EST. They told me she went quickly and peacefully. She had pancreatic cancer since last spring and declined very quickly. Her name was Linda. She was 65. She was everything to me and I cannot believe she is gone. I am alone now. I wish I had been there with her when she went.
I'll always love and miss you, Mom. May God have mercy and grant you acceptance into His loving embrace.

Sorry to hear about this. Do look after yourself.
