If it makes you feel any more comfortable, time will remember the good things you shared. All the good things that happened, existed. No one or nothing can take that away from you. Treasure the memory of her, carry on her will and legacy - while not letting it depress you or pull you down. When a loved one dies, we inherit their will, after all and that way she may still live in what you do and accomplish.
As she has returned to the Source, she may finally be free from pain, too. But I can't imagine how terrifying an experience this must've been. I cannot even begin to comprehend.
