My satanic nature

I consider myself a Satanic Atheist as I don't believe in a literal god or satan but am willing to accept the fact that as per the christian religion I'm going to Hell.

If I'm wrong about my lack of belief in deities I would much rather accept Satan than Jesus and be willing to serve him by rebelling against christianity.

I know enough about Satanism (or the LHP in general) to understand that there are different beliefs but I seem to fall under the category of "other" Can someone clarify where I stand?

If you don't believe in God, how do you feel you will go to hell. What do you feel hell is?

You'd have to answer my first question.

Do you believe in a literal Satan?

Dacx is saying that if he is wrong and the Christian God exists, he will be going to Hell.

I think it is one of those things where you either believe in God, Satan, and Hell, or you don't believe in God, Satan or Hell. If you don't believe in Satan as an actual deity, then why would would you believe in Hell as an actual place where you would go? And yes, I have called myself a Satanist at one point also, but since then, my worldview changed a bit.

Is this any clearer?

I do NOT believe in a literal God OR a literal Satan. I DO believe that there was someone named Jesus Christ (or some form of that ) that "brainwashed" people into believing him which resulted in the Christian religion.

I am very anti-christian as the lifestyle Jesus tried to convince people to lead, resulting in the "christian lifestyle" is opposite of the way I want to live my life and yes...IF I am wrong about a literal God and Satan, I would be much more willing to serve Satan

The key word here is "if" Make any more sense?

Makes perfect sense. It's just because you said you believed you were going to the christian version of hell, that's where the confusion came from. I'd love to learn a little bit more about your philosophy as well. As you well know, being an atheist doesn't tell me very much. You said you were a satanic atheist, do you relate yourself to any sects of modern satanism, such as CoS or FCoS? Or do you have your own philosophies, and if so would you be interested in sharing them? :)

My conclusion of modern Satanism (certainly LaVeyanism) is that it is nothing more than pragmatic Atheism. Those who side with an entity called Satan are devil-worshipers, not Satanists.

I don't believe Yeshua (Jesus) brainwashed anyone. The history and evolution of Christianity is much more complex than what is being stated here.

Dacx, I think you would benefit from studying various belief systems and understanding them before declaring yourself anything yet.

Agreed. It seem that most(if not all) of the LHP world find them to be nothing more then a joke.

Yep, a joke.
And a really bad joke as well.
Like... a racist, sexist, insulting joke that nobody left in the room is laughing at.

Don't try standing anywhere just yet. If you are beginning to explore religious possibilities you may do well getting some formal training in philosophy, anthropology, religious studies, languages, classics, the hard sciences. This grounding in proper knowledge and evidence procedure, the basis of religious notions in human beings, its structure across cultural systems and societies, and its different expressions can be a bit detached and academic, but a great launching point for personal exploration.

Get some life experiences by traveling, perhaps picking up a physical discipline such as yoga, and get some culture. Broaden your horizons. Then explore your own spiritual inclinations with a better basis. It's so much better than the usual "I can accept that, sounds cool" and the "pick a belief, any belief" motivation so popular these days. I say this also because you seem to be still stuck within the religious structure you probably grew up with and around.

As a Satanist/Sorcerer I don't accept the mythologies of the jews, Muslims and the Christians. I don't believe in a God or a Devil, a Heaven or Hell. Nobody knows what is after the death of this life. Christianity in my view was created by the Christian Fathers to control the masses, and to reinforce their authority by telling their flock if they disagree with them or their Bible they would perish in eternal damnation of fire and brimstone.

Satan, Lucifer, Set, Prometheus, etc. are all created by man to define That which is the Prince of Darkness, that arcane force within the universe whose essence indwells within humanity, energizing and inspiring man's divine spiritual and intellectual development which has transformed us into the most creative, unique, and vicious of all Earthly creatures.

Satan is but one of various symbolic representations and reflections of the Powers of Darkness; the primal dynamic "life force" of vital existence, self-reliance and determination, innovation, imagination, pride in being, heightened self-awareness, man as his own God, master of his own will, man as a creator of creations, forger of his own life's destiny, and rebellion against mindless mass conformity.

As a follower of the Left-Hand Path I do not worship Satan or the Prince of Darkness, but rather I honor Him/It above all others as the great liberator and benefactor of humanity, as That which champions and inspires mans' quests for self-actualization and deification.

May the Dark Light of Lucifer illuminate the Way!

Satan Worshipper
As a follower of the left hand path, my understanding is that there is no external force which punishes or rewards my actions. I see Satan as a beneficial archetype who aids in my quest for self-enlightenment and self-deification, so I don't expect to glorify or curse anyone in hell or anywhere else.
