My story

Hi all, new here. I've never really been to religious, parents gave solid reasons why not and science disproves it. I went to church 1st through 6th grade and have gone a few times since I've been stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC. I had a rough night last night trying to find a reason why I'm here and why not to quit life.. and I can't stop about god, it sounds really weird to say that. Either way, I'm here to learn some new things and hopefully get saved!

Steve, first of all, thank you so much for serving our country. I have three kids in the military and am a former military brat, wife, and now mom. My dad, my husband, and my kids have all served time in combat units overseas.

I am sorry that you're struggling. My gut feeling, without knowing more about your situation, is that you have something profound to learn and put into practice in your life.

Steve, our lives are infinitely precious and we each have a purpose to fulfill on this earth. God can take even our biggest blunders and worst sins and when we submit our will to Him, He can create something beautiful of even our biggest messes.

His words, "Be still and know that I am God" have sustained me through some rough times. Maybe they can help you as well.

Be still - listen - don't fight. Seek His face. God promises that if we seek wisdom, He will lead us to it.

I'm sorry you've been having such bad time, and I understand how you feel. For a long time I was an Atheist. I recommend you study as many religions as possible, and choose your own path. Choose what feels right to you inside. Christianity is an option, but not the only option. My path happened to be Wicca! I wish you luck on your journey, and I hope you can find what you're looking for here.
