I'd add some listed by others, but it's too late.
So I'll only list some no one has mentioned....
Harrison Bergeron
Hairspray
Mother Night
The Blues Brothers
This Is Spinal Tap
Reservoir Dogs
Miller's Crossing
Blood Simple
Brazil
Tremors
Buckaroo Banzai Across The 8th Dimension <-- How could I have forgotten this classic before?
Robocop (1987)
Starship Troopers
O Brother, Where Art Thou?

And for David Bowie fans...
Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence
A Man Who Fell To Earth

Note that Raising Arizona is one Coen Bros movie I found meh.....better than A Serious Man, but over-rated.

Shadow Wolf

Certified People sTabber & Business Owner
Silence of the lambs
The Blues Brothers
O Brother, Where Art Thou?
I forgot about those. Those should definitely be on my list. Guess I'll have to boot the Star Wars entry, Rise of the Lycans, and break the rules again and have 21 entries.
With O Brother, it's rather funny that for a movie based on the Odyssey, Tim Blake Nelson, the guy who played Pete (and directed/wrote the movie Leaves of Grass), was the only one on set who had actually read the Odyssey.
