My View On Masturbation

I strongly disagree with masturbation because you are killing life. Basically its murder in my eyes. Why? Because you just took away potential beings an opportunity to live. That is why i believe its wrong. And how can you sit there and masturbate without thinking of someone or a private part? To pleasure yourself that way to me is sin and that leads to other sinful acts. Thats why its a sin in my eyes. Its no different then abortion to me. Its just as equal. Idc who disagrees but my point is very valid to many.

So you're not killing a soul you're killing microorganisms or cells that might serve as a vessel for human growth and that is all. Millions of sperm are killed all the time without ejaculation.

I'm not condoning these actions but they aren't as bad as abortion my friend. Not at all.

By choosing not to have sex you are taking “away potential beings an opportunity to live”. Choosing not to have sex denies the possibility of your sperm to create a human life. The only difference between masturbation and choosing not to have sex is that you don’t get the sexual release or the health benefits. (masturbation is good for your prostate)

Throughout my whole life, I've heard that masturbation is a sin. I strongly disagree with this.

I am a teenager and my feelings cannot be ignored. Without masturbation, I wouldn't be able to focus in class, my judging abilities would be impaired and I'd be frustrated to no end.

I believe watching pornography is a sin as it both degrades men and women but masturbation just for the reason of relief isn't.

I know many of you will say to just ignore my sexual thoughts and think about other things. Well, I play guitar and I'm involved in sports. Along with that, I'm also an honor role student. I keep myself busy. The feelings still come and don't go away. I've even tried fasting. Nothing will calm down my raging hormones.

I want to only have sex with one woman in my life. My wife. Without masturbation, I would've surely taken one of the opportunities that has presented itself to me. As I said early on, my sexual feelings impair my judgement.

Also, I could care less what the Catholic Church has to say about it. I was raised Catholic and turned Non-denominational Christian. The Catholic Church sickens me. I really couldn't give a s*** what they have to say. I'd rather not get into that now though.

Masturbation to me is a way of relief. Can anyone here who has gone through puberty honestly say they haven't done something sexual just for pleasure or relief and not for pro-creation? I thought so.

God created us as sexual beings. I feel no shame.

Is not creative sexuality, in the image of the Creator? Why do we feel shame at all?

Well you will eventually get tired of it just as everything becomes tiresome.

It's not just sex but romance in general. Sex is the greatest physical pleasure to me. A romantic relationship is the greatest psychological pleasure to me. There is just nothing to compare to it. My life's goal is to meet the lady of my dreams and I can't imagine anything that can come close to being meaningful to me than that.

When you realize that God's bliss is the only lasting happiness for you, you will realize that sex doesn't compare to it. Sex leaves you wanting more since it's temporary and it only leaves you moody and agitated after a while. Especially if abused. Not to mention it leaves you tired and unenergetic. The sex drive is there to test your will, but it also the polar opposite of God's bliss. There are similar spiritual experiences that can compare to sex but it is obviously more pure.

I'm not sure which "God" you have in mind here. Personally, I cannot believe that any loving, personal deity exists. I was single for most of my teen years and my twenties. This murdered my belief that any loving deity exists. This is why I can never be a born-again Christian. The fact that I was single for most of my life brutally murdered my belief in the loving grace of "Jesus Christ". It's now impossible for me to become convinced that Christ loves me or that Allah loves me or that I"m loved by any other divine being. It's completely and utterly impossible. Seriously!

Do you believe that there are any alternatives to bliss? Is annihilation one of them? Is reincarnation another one of them? If there exists a "soul" or a "spirit" of some sort, can I be annihilated instead? I don't want "bliss" with "God". If the sex drive is there to test my will, that makes me think you believe that the purpose is to renounce the sexual drive or reduce it. No thanks! Whatever your alternative to "bliss" is, I'll take it!

A sperm cell is just a single living cell. There are life forms that are more complex than a single living cell. Do you wash your hands with antibacterial soap and water after you use the toilet? If so, you're killing life. This is what gets me about Christians who say "Only God can create life and only God has the right to take it". So then, Christians who believe that have to believe that they're murdering life when they use the toilet and wash their hands after wiping their behinds.

During a wet dream, semen is produced and ejaculated. This is involuntary on the part of human beings yet the sperm cells in the semen die.

When I relieve myself, I do think of someone and that someone's private part. I enjoy it although it's not the same as the actual act itself.

If one believes life begins at conception (when the sperm fertilizes the egg), then one is not murdering anyone when they have an emission or release an egg. (they're just cells)

I hope not! I'm a very monogamous person. I can share many things in my life. However, I don't like sharing my sexual partners. I don't like the idea of having more than one wife or any wife of mine having more than one husband.
