I was one of them, and now I'm here. On the other site it isn't enough to be a Christian....it appears you need to be just this certain type of Christian. This site seems considerably more open-minded.

(I don't mean to bash or belittle the other site, of course. Just stating a philosophical difference. Please don't mod me.... please?)

I had started an account there. Obviously I wasn't the droid they were looking for.

Yeah, it's quite different here. While Christians might make up the majority, we have many different religions and denominations represented here.

And for that matter.... we have a lot of different kinds of Christians and a lot of different/variant kinds of other religions/branches/sects/denominations here as well.

Don't worry much about the mods here. They aren't cruel overlords here or anything. We are pretty open here. Just check out the rules and as long as you can play nice there's no problems. The biggest things here are no proselytizing, no personal attacks, respect the DIRs, no stalking or bashing. If you can adhere to those basic rules you should be fine.

Oh, and I wouldn't worry about what you said about the "other site" either, most people know that already and is why they are here.

I'd concur.
I certainly didnt mean to create the appearance of a Modzi-Dictatorship.
You get plenty of tries before anything serious occurs here unless you REALLY take a crazy plunge of the deep end..
And if you were that kind of person, you already would have by now

As it should be, imho. There is so much to be learned from different religions and belief systems. I believe if we all understood one another more, we would fear one another less.

You need a certain amount of points from frubals to get the option. It will be in your "user CP" on the left near everything else.
