What they do is almost unbelievable. It requires an insane amount of skill and it is a real team sport, from the guys that build the engines, to the driver. NASCAR has the most loyal fans in the world (up there with European Soccer fans, and Aussie Cricket fans).

I used to hate NASCAR, until Joe Gibbs showed up - totally changed my mind. It's such a fun sport, it has a nearly year long season. :)

What about denver Bronco fans Darkdale????Bite your toungue:tsk:

I haven't watched NASCAR much since Earnhart died. I know one of my friends who signed up here, then never posted, could tell you who won any NASCAR race from any track and year.

Point taken, guys. I'm quite interested in automotive mechanics -- I've modified both my Harley-Davidsons quite a bit, and I'd be interested in a discussion of the performance modifications of the Nascar vehicles themselves, but actually watching them drive in ovals for hours is a bit of a bore.

You have a Harley Seyorni? I have a newfound respect for you! :) How have you modified your ride? Any pics?

Guess that's off topic so I'll add this......out here in the Pacific Northwest NASCAR isn't very popular. I am not sure why however. I don't particularly enjoy races on TV but they are much more fun in person when you can experience the speed and noise up close and personal. Same with horse racing. Horse racing is great fun hunkered down by the track. I think if we had more races held somewhere along the west coast it may be more popular. Although I have been to a couple at Ontario when I was a teen. Drag racing and funny car drags are cool too.
